Re-watched Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte last night. Excellent film, very noirish in terms of visual style. And I never get tired of hearing Bette Davis’ neurotic voice screaming and yelling while she slips further into the throes of insanity.
Did you get molested by old women as a child?
Molested would imply that it wasn’t consensual.
True

Same here. Except that I just realized that the cougars now are only a couple years older than I am. I think I’m going to start going after the early-to-mid 20’s crowd again. What does that make me? A lion? Or how about a jaguar? Yeah, I’m a fucking jaguar!

This is 40 - Comedy from Judd Apatow about the married couple from Knocked Up as they turn 40.

Attempting to watch this was a pretty miserable experience. Leslie Mann appears to be the most miserable, ball-busting cunt in the history of vaginas. Paul Rudd is the dopey husband who’s afraid of his own shadow and fucking TERRIFIED of his wife. Their kids are awful, whiny assholes. The “funny” moments were so few and far between that I couldn’t even finish watching. I wanted to kill myself after about a half hour.

Don’t waste any of your time or money. This movie is a piece of shit, and it makes me question Judd Apatow’s sobriety and will to continue living.

Rating: 2/10
Motherfucker you made me Laugh Hard.

I give this Review 7 Ballbusters and a nomination for post of the year.

So glad this got posted up, the drop-off in quality between Knocked Up and This Is 40 is insane. Apatow has been in the slums for a while now, I hope he really makes something witty and hilarious with the new Anchorman, but I won’t hold my breath too long.

He’s not writing or directing, so there’s hope.

Frankly, I would pay to watch that cast do improv about shoelace manufacturing for 2 hours. But I am a huge Will Ferrell fan, so I’m biased.

Yeah, but I don’t know if his collaborations with Adam McKay have ever really worked out magnificently, capable, but vastly over-hyped. It might be good, and I’ll still enjoy it if it turns out like the first, just because his films have some strange childish mysticism about them. I liked The Other Guys quite a lot, but it never hit me like a “Superbad”.

I also really like Will Ferrell, he’s got this intriguing aura, Nicolas Cage has a distinct kind of aura too, I just don’t understand what it is or why it has it’s hold on me.

Trying to find Mud is like searching for the fucking holy grail, I might fly to the States and try to catch the cinema release before it ends, lest that fucking film be lost in the throws of time.

Sucks is kinda strong. It was a good stand alone movie. But if you compare it to the 1st or the avengers it comes up short

Sorry almost posted the superman clip in this thread by mistake. To make up for it. Let me give something to this thread.

Hotel Transylvania was really good. Now I’m saying this with the full knowledge that at this moment in time I feel Adam Sandler owes me brain sells. He owes me not for the movies he keeps trothing out onto the public but for the Trailers and commercials I am forced to watch of his when I’m watching other movies. His stuff sucks that bad.

However Hotel Transylvania was damn good. The comedy was spot on and they managed to ring in Sandlers antics for him to actually Act a part.

LOL NO sucks isn’t strong enough. That movie was a debacle and never should of gotten the green light.

movie sucked.

going to watch Jack the Giant Slayer.

will probably be even worse.

It is indeed not good, very not good indeed.

There’s no real reason to watch Jack The Giant Slayer, no substantial reward. Hell, Warm Bodies is better than Jack The Giant Slayer for Nicholas Hoult’s recent exploits into feature-length films.

What’s funny is I was debating what I wanted to watch… Jack the Giant Slayer or Warm Bodies. At least Warm Bodies’ rotten tomatoes score is better.
