I thought the Avengers Age of Ultron was good. It wasn’t like greatest movie ever but it was entertaining. I still stand by my statement of Captain America Winter Soldier being my favorite Avenger movie so far.
I thought it was meh it was a step down from cap and guardian’s too much focus on Hawkeye and the

I also didn’t like how at the end they set up the cast for the next movie. The ending to the first was better when most of the Avengers went there separate way.

I agree about Hawkeye having more time. It’s like they were trying to make up for him not having much screen time in any other Marvel movie.
More Spoliers

Hawkeye’s extra air time is explained here:

oh, did that seriously mean those were going to be the characters in the next avengers movie?
That is fucking lame.

Well Downey finished guys contract not sure how many more movies hensworh has left and the next cap movie is civil war so yeah that’s who we’re getting
They’ll both be in at least one of the Infinity Wars from what I’ve read. Hemsworth has 2 movies left iirc (Thor III being one of them) and there’s speculation he’ll be shelved somehow in Thor Ragnarok specifically so he’ll end up in Infinity Wars. Not sure about RDJr except I know he’s in Cap III and I believe he also has 2 movies left. I haven’t heard anything about Evans.

I partially agree. The Vision and Scarlet Witch seem cool, but they aren’t great characters like say Thor or Iron Man. Who knows what will happen in the next one though. I’ve heard Ant Man will join the team since they are making a movie. I would also think the cast from the Guardians of the Galaxy will have some part in the next Avengers since they were part of the Infinity Stones.

Age of Ultron was really weird imo.

But can anyone answer why the fuck Tony Stark has his armors again when he made a really big deal about blowing them all up in Iron Man 3?!

Dont cross the streams, bad things happen when you cross the streams.

It’s just a new set of armor…

I was hoping to see more of Thanos in Avengers 2, looks like I will have to wait.

Ya, but a large part of Iron Man 3 was about Tony Stark’s rather poisonous relationship with his armors and the sheer fact of being a hero getting to him. Afaik, the point he made by blowing up the armors and getting the shrapnel removed from his chest/taking the arc reactor out was that he’s moving past the traumas of the past and moving into the future.

And then he’s pretty much the exact same fucking character in Age of Ultron. Why bother blowing up roughly 40ish armors in an attempt to show that he’s turned a new leaf, and to convince Pepper that he’s ok now, only to rebuild them?

It really just annoyed me. And it shows the large problem with Age of Ultron for me. The film seemed more interested in setting up future films rather than telling a complete, coherent story.

Plus Ultron seems so wasted.

Start at about 6:40. I think it explains the idea behind blowing up the suits and fits with him making new ones for Age of Ultron.

I did feel like Ultron was a bit rushed, but Marvel is running out of time with these actors. I would of liked to of seen mention of the Ultron project earlier, maybe in Iron Man II or III.

The movie I’m most annoyed with is Civil War, which doesn’t even come out until next year. From what I gather the Bucky Barnes story line is gonna be all but forgotten.

Ya for sure. Maybe Guardians II.

I thought Ultron was a solid enough blockbuster flick, but disappointing a bit a) given my (possibly unfair) expectation and b) given that it relied so much on being part of the wider MCU plan, and doesn’t stand on its own nearly as well as the first Avengers movie or the better solo films.

I get that the continuity of the universe is one of the greatest assets of this undertaking(the entire thing, not just the Avengers titles), but this movie felt so reliant on it instead of weaving it in while still just being a good self-contained title(the first Avengers didn’t really use the previous movies stories other than Stark Tower being born from the element he created in IM2, it was about bringing in all the characters+Loki, but it made up for that by just being a better stand alone movie, while on the other end of the spectrum is Winter Soldier seamlessly including a ton of stuff from the other films despite not being the ‘team up’ movie).

Still an enjoyable enough movie, I’d probably give it a solid 7.5 or so.

I pretty much agree, but I’m not sure the first Avengers would of been as good had we not seen Loki first in Thor. I thought the biggest issue with Ultron is that most people just don’t know much about him and his creation just seemed a bit forced to me. I personally think hey could of cut out a lot of the opening sequence and portions of the Hawkeye stuff to better explain who / what / why Ultron was created.

I’m not very critical of movies though so I’d give it an 8 or so as I would all the other Marvel movies.

(I liked Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern though so take my opinion with a grain of salt…)

“Perfume”

Totally unexpected!
Beautifully filmed, the sets, setting, costumes and acting were tops.

Seductive and repulsive simultaneously.

Re-watched Hercules (The Rock). I know many folks on here were disappoint, but it’s growing on me.

hated that movie with the fire of a million suns!

Would’ve been 30 seconds long it if weren’t for all the dumb stock footage they used.
I love Lucy. And liked the movie.

I watched Maggie with the Schwarzenegger…

I will think about it some more and then report back.

I f you no like to think, you no watch movie untill then.

Saw Mad Max Fury Road. The car chases and action scenes were just spectacular, which was at least half the movie anyways, but still!!! Very fun movie. So good to see that the majority of the action in the movie was special effects and not CGI. Nothing like some good old stuntmen crashing cars.

I was blown away. This is old school film making at it’s finest. So many “holy shit!” moments, and when characters die, you fucking feel it.

I had heard that the new Mad Max movie was really good, I am thinking I might see it this weekend.

Mad Max Fury Road–wow. Excellent movie. I’ll go so far and say I actually liked it BETTER than the original.
This movie shit all over that pile o’ crap The Avengers.
