I thought it was very good…the question is was he really slow or was that an act?

Watched Dracula Untold last night. It was okay.
Interstellar was ok, just took awhile to get going.
Constantine was decent, Rachel Weisz in a wet tanktop helped redeem it to a degree.
^ dude your nuts intersteller was amazing…its backed by real astro physicists…Fantastic sci fi & great drama… The conection with his daughter is heartbreaking. He sacrafices his life as a parent to save her & humanity…Also the stuff about 4th & 5th dimensions was supercool…only thing i didnt like is matt still looks like shit. Not sure if he’l ever come back physically from dallas buyers club…he needs to get back in gym & eat.
Horns- The plot: Daniel Radcliffe plays Ig Perrish, an average joe who’s just the right side of cool and quirky to avoid relentless bullying for his parent’s questionable taste in names. He’s madly in love with his soul-mate Merrin. Unlikely monikers are a great ice-breaker.
She is brutally raped and murdered, he takes the fall.
The pitch: wrongfully demonized by the community, he changes into a demon , first by sprouting horns that compel people to confess their sinful thoughts (Sindar?), then by assuming more infernal characteristics.
The conclusion: Great premise, but to continue the metaphor, if villains are the balls of good movies then this is one eunuch of a horror. The ‘surprise’ antagonist is so physically and mentally inept that it undermines the point of giving the hero supernatural powers to extract his revenge. All very anti-climactic, despite a strong lead turn from the erstwhile Harry Potter, a story by Joe ‘son of Stephen King’ Hill and direction from Alexandre Aja.

Saw it last night. I must preface my remarks with the fact that I’ve never been a fan of the series. Haven’t even seen 'em all.
I love the muscle cars and that’s about it (also I did love the asses so exquisitely cradled in those thongs in the drag racing scene – good golly, Miss Molly). Too over the top; too many ridiculous stretches of the imagination; acting was lightweight effort for the most part.
Acting? From the likes of Vin Diesel, The Rock, Ludicrous, etc? And realism from a movie about car tuning street racers from LA who partner with a Black Ops government agency to take down a global terrorist? You did see the preview before buying the ticket - right?
Vin Diesel was great in Find Me Guilty:
Worth watching for a pre-Game of Thrones Peter Dinklage tearing up the courtroom.
Predestination - based on Robert A. Heinlein’s All You Zombies. Unbreakable with time travel. I want to buy shares in Sarah Snook- she’s that talented.

Ironic - Looks like a ripoff of Minority Report… But if it was written by Heinlein, it would have come before Minority Report written by Philip K Dick so it came first. Fitting for a film about time travel - very clever.

Speaking of her, I just watched the Fountain for the first time last night and was very intrigued by the movie even though it was a little hard to follow at first. I thought the movie was pretty good. Seems like one you might have to watch again to get the full effect.

I enjoyed it. I always thought the story would difficult to adapt but they pulled it off. It’s visually quite similar to Looper except it’s set in an alternate past, not the future, which was a good approach.

It’s thematically opposite to Minority Report. At the heart of it is a clandestine agency that police time, so they retroactively ‘prevent’ crime but it has to happen before they can act (unlike in Minority Report). However their control of fate is not as absolute as it seems. I might as well say it revolves around a grandfather paradox, since that Hebrewhero guy deliberately blurted out the twist.

I’d like to erase you from the timeline for spoiling the movie just because you didn’t like it.

So Timecop, not Minority report.

Sort of, but it’s more of a character piece - which is what the short story was intended to be.
There are some lovely narrative touches, like the ‘man walks into a bar’ set-up and the setting that manages to pay homage to the dated source material while circumventing the cheesier aspects. The Spierig brothers posit an alternate past where time-travel exists, so all bets are off. There is no ‘future’ to speak of…

He knows jack about modern sci-fi. Kip Thorne was a consultant on Contact years before Interstellar.
