I guess Romero was involved with it, so it wasn’t just some shameless capitalization. It’s actually pretty good. Less of a horror vibe than it seems like. Most of the scares are jump scares, w/ a few gross scenes, but that’s about it. Kids and women die with no problem, so they don’t pull a lot of punches, but it doesn’t throw it in your face for shock factor; it does exploit it a bit for suspense purposes.
Pacing was decent, ok acting, no huge plot twists, which I actually appreciate.
I has kind of a zombie flick/Cabin in the Woods vibe to it. I recommend it.
Terrific movie about Stephen Hawking and his relationship with his first wife, adapted from a book by his first wife. The movie treated both characters compassionately and did a good job showing the complex relationship between a man who needed constant care-taking and his caretaker.
Made for some interesting conversation afterwards as well with the gf about what would happen if one of us were permanently incapacitated.

Furious 7. I liked it. I like what they did with Paul Walker at the end too.
Saw it last night. I must preface my remarks with the fact that I’ve never been a fan of the series. Haven’t even seen 'em all.
I love the muscle cars and that’s about it (also I did love the asses so exquisitely cradled in those thongs in the drag racing scene – good golly, Miss Molly). Too over the top; too many ridiculous stretches of the imagination; acting was lightweight effort for the most part.
Acting? From the likes of Vin Diesel, The Rock, Ludicrous, etc? And realism from a movie about car tuning street racers from LA who partner with a Black Ops government agency to take down a global terrorist? You did see the preview before buying the ticket - right?
