Even More Movies You've Watched This Week II

Ha ha ha. Skeleton Crew is full of awesome, simple horror stories =D

Watched Maze Runner. To be honest I really enjoyed it, great concept for the end.
Watched it, surprisingly good all the way through. Looking forward to next installment.
Im a Scifi nerd so I am not surprised but I am surprised you liked it. Cool.

Finally got around to watching American Hustle. God what a great flick. Almost as good as Goodfellas/Casino, but not quite.

Interesting. Glad you liked it. I kept waiting for it to get going but it never did. Thought it was forgetable to say the least.

Big Hero 6 was the tits btw. Some really funny parts had me laughing out loud.

My thoughts exactly. Had all the pieces to be a good/great flick but it just fell flat. Tried watching it twice and wound up turning it off partway through the second viewing.

And proof that stan lee is the marvel cinematic universes watcher

That was great. Keep tossing out the short story suggestions. King did one called Night Flyer that I read at least fifteen years ago that was pretty good.
The Ledge from Night Shift.

The movie Cat’s Eye had a great on screen adaptation.

The Mist from Skeleton Crew.

Not one of my favourites but the movie version was fantastic.
Thanks. Cat’s Eye was one of my favorite movies as a kid. Haven’t read The Mist, but enjoyed the movie. The ending was brutal. Read The Raft yesterday. Anybody remember that it was one of the shorts in Creepshow 2? Think I liked the ending from the book better.

Saw Whiplash. Thought it was as good a film as I’ve seen in a long time.
Saw it last night with my 13 yo son. We both thought it was great.

Just watched it this past weekend and enjoyed it a lot. Good old American violence is a great way to put it.
Don’t dislike Reeves by any stretch, but couldn’t picture him as a badass so had no interest in JW. Man was I wrong. That movie was fucking awesome. As someone who generally prefers dogs to people it probably struck me that much more. Straight up old fashioned badass revenge flick. Loved it.

I know I’m late to the party, but I saw Fury last night. Great movie, will not disappoint.

Foxcatcher last night. Once again disappointed. The scenes with Tatum {sp?} and Carell reminded me of the start of a SNL skit. Very flat movie. Sucks because the whole story itself was pretty amazing.

Gotta say, either im just being overly negative about lots of the movies that were made last year or it really just was a shitty year for movies.

I didn’t understand Birdman at all. Given I have the IQ of a pebble, but still, to me it just seemed like another try hard artsy flick and i love Michael K.

I’m gonna see Whiplash at some point this week. I really hope its good.

Well, I posted that I was as dumb as a box of rocks but compared to your pebble, that was an act of bragging!

I am afraid Sir, that I will have to promote you to be as dumb as a boulder so as to preserve my dignity.

Thank you for understanding.

I can live with that.

Wrote a couple of pages back that I couldn’t get into Foxcatcher at all. Good actors, great source material, less than mediocre flick. Movie was ultimately kind of pointless. Whiplash, on the other hand, was fantastic. Of the other movies from last year that I’ve seen recently and really enjoyed I thought TMNT, The Rover and John Wick were all great. There’s probably more but gotta run.

A short story. It took me a bit to understand what was happening and to acclimate to the rhythm of the writing.

Lol ya, when he says something along the lines of, “You don’t get it. He killed my dog!” I was like, “ya kill these mother fuckers Keanu!”

I might actually buy it, I enjoyed it that much.

Hahaha, I loved that. Yeah, I’m definitely gonna buy it. Just read that not only are they making a sequel, but they plan on making it a franchise. I’m pumped.

Also, I should rephrase what I said earlier. It’s not actually that I didn’t think Reeves could pull off “badass” (Utah, gimme two!), it’s that I feel like EVERYBODY’s getting a turn to play tough guy lately (Neeson, Costner, etc…) that I just figured JW would be shittier Taken knockoff. Couldn’t have been further from the truth.
