Evan Centopani on Free Weight Training.

Got to love it when a guy yawns(2:29 or so) before a set of overhead presses that would crush 95% of gym goers on a squat haha.

I like Evan, very good future, and present for that matter, in the sport and always comes across as a likeable guy in his videos.
I was thinking about that too, he’s seems very likeable/agreeable which I think would bring some “good publicity” for bodybuilding.

I’ve watched nearly all of evans training vids and the only machines I’ve ever seen him use is a cable row, one of those old school nautilus lateral raise machines and leg press, haha. It’s pretty amazing. Training in that fashion is definitely a lot more fun in my mind, progressing on machines seems a lot more boring and tedious than free weight progression, although I have no specific reason pinpointed for why that is.

It’s always refreshing when I see a Centopani vid, it usually inspires me to change up my training a bit and go harder. He’s the only pro who inspires me in that way.
I have to agree with this, I always love free weight lifts, I just feel more accomplished after a heavy back day with deads and rows, chins and then a few machine exercises…The few times I just wasn’t in the groove and chose to just hit a few HS variations and pulldowns did not give the same feeling even though I was going all out.

To each there own I guess.

Listen to Evan…honestly the smartest man in bodybuilding right now!

Arnold Classic 2011 winner? Look at the size of him 14 weeks out.

Fucking love Evan

I don’t know man too early to tell

are kai and heath gonna compete if so no way will he take it

Hes never been on a pro stage so I assume it will take him a bit to pay his dues

Yeah if Heath is up there he will have a hard time…I can see him beating Kai…hopefully he places top 3.

Are you guys forgetting that he won his pro debut at the NY Pro?

Silly boys.

I knew that…

He is definetly my favorite bodybuilder too. He speaks so smoothly, it feels like you’re listening to one of your boys talk. I just don’t get that same feeling when I hear Jay or Kai talk.

Exactly

i definitely agree with the whole foods…they are just more filling and give me less indigestion than shakes…you also have to find the right whole foods for you…i dont eat oats anymore as they bloat me up…and limit red meat once a day…

and…im admiring his culinary skills…using fresh local fish and inseason vegetables…thats chef status lol…

I did forget that waylanderxx thanks for the correction.

Still don’t think he beats heath

If anyones bored go to Evan’s website and click on the bio there is a pretty good slide show that shows his transformation from when he was a kid.

So true. When I listen to Kai talk, it’s like listening to one of those dudes who try to hard to use big words and try to get so deep that it eventually turns into a ramble. If I listen to Jay talk more than 2 minutes I fall asleep. Evan’s interviews are the best.

I’d watch what you say about Kai. PX is gonna come over here and get a hissy fit.

Haha. I didn’t know who that was until I googled it. I remember those old clips. Funny as hell.

His vids and Vic’s are the only ones I can manage to sit through past the 10 minute mark without being bored out of my mind.

Yeah agreed. I can listen to a lot of stuff Dave Palumbo comentates as well.
