Eugenics have been used in animals to produce desirable offspring. If it works in animals, why wont it work in humans? After all, humans are made of mostly the same stuff as a chimpanzee? I guess the question is, why oppose it, would it really be in the best interest of everyone for two people with down syndrome to have kids and produce more kids with down syndrome?
Who gets to decide who is fit?
Planned Parenthood founder, Margaret Sanger, shared your beliefs. In particular, she wanted to rid the world of the “black race.”
“We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population. and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.”
Margaret Sanger’s December 19, 1939 letter to Dr. Clarence Gamble, 255 Adams Street, Milton, Massachusetts
because it would make one part of humanity the cattle of the other part.
We can’t allow preferential breeding. Democrats have the right to have children too.

Taken horribly out of context. They wanted PP to control the ballooning fertility rates amongst uneducated poor urban (often black) populations. I think this is classist long before it is racist. Its a small excerpt where she discusses how to specifically target them: black commentators and religious appeal.
Gattaca!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…

I suppose her speaking at KKK rallies has no connection here either, just taken out of context.

Sorry, can’t talk about this. Temporal Prime Directive.
Clip11,
have a look at the Image Archive of the American Eugenics Movement, which should explain why it’s a bad idea: eugenics
