So ive been on trt close to 3 month’s. Have bloods coming up early july. Spoke with my DR. today and asked if they would check my estrogen levels (they didnt the first time) because i have had sime nipple tenderness (everytime i cycled same thing) and little hard pea sized knot. Her response was "we dont typically check that in men. Once i explained the nipple issues she asked “do you smoke Marijuana at all” No. “Sometimes that causes that, thats not typical with trt has it been just since you started the testosterone?” YES. “Well…we can check it fir you and go from there but thats not typically a side” WE ALL KNOW IT IS AND WE ALL KNOW ITA NORMALLY DUE TO HIGH ESTROGEN. Yes ive been taking a blocker. Started .25 and then went to .5 twice a week on injection days. Pea size knots have not changed and tendernes has not changed. Thoughts? Im about to start going to the clinic down the road for labs instead of my dr. But then its A LOT MORE EXPENSIVE because my insurance wint cover at a clinic. Anyone have experience paying for labs at the clinic and taking the results to your dr?
They have reasonable panels and options to review. Code “RBP” will get you 10% off and they have a 15% fathers day code on the site right now as well.
Run from that place fast. I like Defy Med personally.
Ive called and requested my estrogen and shbg be tested on next labs(3 weeks) my free t was 2.8 and total t was 75 before starting trt. It will be interesting to see where im at when i hit that 3 month mark. Im starting to see a difference in appearance. Others were already seeing it apparently but i didnt. Every day someone comments. But man…ive been WORKING MY ASS OFF. Idk if the trt has actually helped or if its just the hard work and calories. Still dont really feel how i had hoped. Maybe they will up the dose. If not…im probably going too anyway. Its time.
I have a trt clinic RIGHT DOWN THE ROAD. But…$22 bucks a month now is great. Everyone i know that uses the clinic is 150 a month.i just need to convince my primary care to check what needs to be checked. Or…go to the underground and get my own labs
It may be more costly but they know how to deal with these problems. Totally worth it and getting license supervision IMO
Labs you want to pull each check up…
CBC wLipids, CMP, TT, FT, E2 sensitive, SHBG, DHT, TSH, PSA, IGF1, A1C… these are all good.
