TRT Labs - Cheapest/Experiences/Best Options

I am looking into TRT after some debating and procrastinating. I am 37 and don’t feel like I used to in a lot of relatable areas.

I am planning on getting labs. My first stop is my annual coming up in 4 weeks. I messaged my doc and said I want to get my hormone levels checked, and she responded positively to it. No hate on the female doctor, she knows my fitness past and has been a great resource for this in the past with injuries suggestions.

My questions are this:

  1. Should I be worried she wouldn’t run the panel I need?
  2. Can I insist if not?
  3. I understand she might not prescribe since Docs are the hardest ones to get prescriptions vs TRT clinic.
  4. What is my alternative vs going through a trt clinic? Their tests seem costly compared to others.

Also would be interested in the best online (cheapest) clinic… (PM me if needed)

Thanks guys…

Make sure you’re getting enough quality sleep. Reduce stress, and I know you said you’ve got a ‘fitness past’ but keep the diet clean. This will give you an accurate assessment whether TRT is warranted or not.

Maybe, from an article:

  • Testosterone, total
  • Testosterone, bioavailable
  • Testosterone, free
  • Estradiol (sensitive assay)
  • Steroid Hormone Binding Globulin
  • Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH)
  • Luteinizing Hormone (LH)
  • Dihydrotestosterone (DHT)
  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)
  • Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA)
  • Blood Chemistry Panel
  • Metabolic Panel

Unless you mean self-administered (non prescription) TRT, it’s either TRT clinic or primary/endo care.

Defy Medical is pretty reasonably priced and has good care.

interview several.

come up with a list of questions ahead of time to ask.

cost, contract, minimum order, do I have to buy swabs and needles from you, what other drugs do you offer, how much are labs, how often do you require labs, how much does the phone call about my labs cost each time. will you waive the setup fee

I went with Matrix Hormones.

1 and 2 depend on your doctor. We don’t know what she will say. From your opener sounds like she’s easy to work with tho.

3 and 4 clinics are a great resource since there are very few hopes and no judgement. No insurance means getting to play outside the rules, in some cases. You pay for that tho.

I like Matrix Hormones, they seem to know what they are doing and offer a lot of products
