Hello, I would like to have your opinion on what my bodyfat percentage might be? I can’t tell myself when comparing with other picture.
Also I’d like to have your impression, what do you think when seeing me? Do I look like I lift at all? And if yes, for how many months or years? Do I look like I just did a failed (dirty) bulk or was a fat guy who lost weight? Do I look athletic or sedentary? I know it’s a bit stupid question but be honest, I just want to know what image I send to people.
Thank you a lot for those who’ll help me with that.
We love these types of posts here. I am answering honestly so don’t mean to hurt feelings…
About 19-20%, I’d say.
You look like you’ve lifted some possibly, but never seriously for a prolonged period. More like someone that does some type of activity or sport a few times a week.
This is impossible to have an opinion on because I don’t have a reference point to how you’ve looked in the past. I would never have either of these options enter my mind at all upon seeing you.
You certainly look like you have some activity/sport that you do. In fact, you perhaps look more like someone who plays a sport recreationally at the local YMCA (basketball, or flag football, soccer) than someone who has consistently done strength training. If we were playing a game of pick up basketball and you took your shirt off, I wouldn’t assume you did anything except do something to work up a sweat a few times a week.
What is your age and your lifting background? Have you progressed substantially in your strength and performance? What are your goals?
Thanks for both answer and for your honesty. I’m sorry I forgot to mention: I’m 175cm and 77kg, 28yo (I took these pics yesterday). I’ll wait to have some feedback to not have them influenced by what activity I do, etc. But I’ll definitely answer your questions about my background after a few more answer.
For sure. But shirtless selfies are in a way unrealistic because that’s not how most people see you out and about in the real world. If most people saw you fully clothed – as they do in normal circumstances – they’d see a guy who clearly lifts.
You should be confident and proud of your progress.
years
No failure. You look like a person who enjoys life and lifts regularly. Best of both worlds.
But if you’ve recently lost a lot of fat, then congrats! Keep up the hard work!
Athletic!
Not stupid at all. We’re all curious about how people perceive us… and probably even more curious in our twenties. You’re courageous for making a post like this here.
Your overall image really depends on how you present yourself.
Do you smile, make eye contact, have an upbeat energy, find it easy to laugh, exude confidence? Those will contribute to your overall image. Being physically fit on top of it adds even more.
I wouldn’t worry about exact body fat percentages unless you’re trying to get on stage.
What’s wild is your questions here remind me of someone who called in to the Dr. John Deloney show. That’s not you, is it? haha
