Ephedra Is Back

They just keep banning it and bringing it back.

On April 14, a federal Judge in Utah reversed the short-lived ban on Ephedra. Since then, it?s gone through rigorous tests ? and passed with flying colors. According to April’s ruling in Utah, there was never any basis for banning doses of 10 milligrams or less. As a result, ephedra has once again been approved for public consumption.

A buddy of mine I hadn’t heard from in a while got a hold of me a couple weeks ago and told me he knew a guy that wanted a dog evaluated for possible “anti-personnel” work. I have extensive experience in this area and have done some training for my buddy in the past. The thing was that the guy wanted to pay me with 500 12.5 mg tabs of Ephedrine Hcl. (I didn’t ask).

The dog turned out to be a fear biting white shepherd that I wouldn’t attempt bite training with for a million dollars. So for a 2 minute eval I got all this ephedrine.

We’ll see what the next chapter in the courts is for this. I’m sure we haven’t heard the end.

So where can one buy said unbanned ephedra?

No wonder the cop thought you were on meth.

LOL, yeah, I played around with real low doses of ephedrine a few months ago, but it made my blood sugar go up more than I was comfortable with. I’ve been trying 1 and a half of these pre workout only and it seems to be ok for now.

Actually I think I got pulled over before this anyway =]

So does this mean Ephedra is legal in Utah or the whole US?

No. Everywhere.
I’ve had over six annoying pop ups telling me it’s back.

On April 14…[/quote]

That’s April 14, 2005.

This ruling was overturned in Aug. 06. Ephedra is still banned.

Funny how ephedra killed a few people but alcohol and cigs kill thousands every year…

No. This is the second time they’re selling it. It’s now unbanned.

It is sad.

Only a few people died who where taking Ephedra. There is no conclusive evidence showing that it was the cause of their deaths. Also, the people who died taking it had other health issues such as heart problems and were not healthy. No healthy adult taking the recommended dosage,or even going a little over that, died taking Ephedra.

In fact, several thousand people die each year taking the recommended dosage of advil. I don’t see that being taken off of the shelves. Why not? Because it cuts into their profits. Here we are,America, with diabetes at an all time record high, and all the FDA is doing is taking EFFECTIVE supplements out of our hands.

They did it with Ephedra twice.
They did it with the prohormones in MAG-10,and now they’ll even do it again to supplements like creatine.
Hell,I won’t be surprised if I saw them ban protein powders.

Can you please provide a source? There is no news organization anywhere reporting this.

Just type in “Buy Ephedra” into your search bar.

Here is one source:

www.ephedrap57.com/mags/productinfo.htm

There is also a product called “Ephedra Burn”.

And that one “source” is making reference to the ban being overturned on April 14, 2005. Which, again, was banned once again 18 months later.

I’m not talking about sites selling products (which may or may not be legal). I’m asking for a news source (Associated Press, Reuters, CNN, anything) indicating that the ban was overturned a 2nd time, as you say.

The news media was all over the April 14, 2005 ban overturn. And likewise reported heavily when that ban was reinstated in August 2006.

There has not been a peep about the ban being lifted. (Because, I suspect, it hasn’t.)

No,but when you can buy Ephedra products legally on the internet, the ban is usually lifted-that or they want to get their asses sued, then face jail time.
They’re pretty commercial about it. I don’t see why they’d advertise it all over the internet if it’s illegal.

Saying “you can buy it on some random internet sites” is rarely a good argument for an item’s legality.

Can you buy this at GNC? Or any other legit store? Or just a bunch of random outfits you’ve never heard of.

The Ephedra ban in still in place.

Cthulu is right. I stopped at the Wagon Wheel liquor store where I got it a while back. Just east of Ann Arbor Trail on Warren for metro Detroiters. 7.99 for 32 tabs 12.5 mg each. The guy told me it’s still legal, but they have to get a license to sell it and have buyers sign for it. No more than 2 boxes a day for the same person.
