I want to move now. We still have a solid foot of snow on the ground.

Do you live up north?

Near Montreal, Qc

Well, it’ll probably take a min for springtime and summer to get there.

While I’m happy I’m able to climb up on my working sets, I fucked up some things.

I felt it first, then I saw it. Stupid hip shift. The whole bar was leaning a bit towards my right. While I thought it was something concerning only my squat, it’s leeched into my deadlift too, and it completely irritated my entire right hip. Doesn’t hurt to walk or anything, but irritated me for the rest of the session. I’m also going to invest in insoles, because my freakishly flat feet tend to fuck up my deadlift positioning as well, and they supinate outwards waaaaay too much.

I’m not exactly sure what’s causing this, but my best bet is some sort of imbalance. Meaning, more unilateral stuff. I never cared for it, thinking I didn’t need it, and now I’m probably the person who needs it the most. It’s pretty fixable on my squat just by moving my foot positioning, and doing some banded stuff at home, but my movements for my deadlift are a bit different so I’m having to start from scratch.

I’ve also noticed I’ve upped the frequency of my training, and It’s taking the tendons/ligaments a bit to catch up.

Irritated. Irritated. Irritated.

You’re moving some pretty heavy stuff there Cyper
The hip shift could be a stiff SI joint, so google some stuff to make it move around again. I had it… must be 2 years ago now. It ended up so intense that just tying the laces of my shoes was so painful like a stab in the lower back.
It’s fixed now, but I have to do mobility stuff.
I read that flexing the glutes could fix that shifting movements, if it’s not the SI joint.

Whatever it is I hope you’ll fix it

On a funny note:

The fast food place we all know as Wendy’s has a mixtape that’s dissing McDonald’s.

It’s actually alright in terms of typical mixtapes, but even better because it’s Wendy’s…duh lol

There’s five or six tracks in total

10 mile walk. Well more like hike. I was out there for most of the afternoon. Had to get out of the house.

Someone hit our smallest, oldest dog named Ruby. And I was doing my damn best to hide it from my mom, and just say she ran off, but no. Some fuck was driving too fast and hit her. In the broad daylight. They clearly moved her because there was a bit of blood a few feet over. She wasn’t splattered to hell, just banged up and she bled out.

I feel bad because I should’ve watched her more closely from afar. I was in the backyard watering the grass and plants, and my mom was in the garage doing laundry. We were all moving around the house, and we typically open the door so the dogs can romp and play for a bit. Our bigger dogs understand cars, and they don’t really stray off beyond the culdesac, but Ruby was fairly old, and she wandered quite a bit. They weren’t out for more than 20 mins max, but that’s all it took.

I just keep thinking about her not being able to get out of the way fast enough, or her trying to get some speed, and just getting ran over. Idk if she died on impact or was suffering for God knows how damn long. Poor Ruby.

Dead things make me Uber uncomfortable. Didn’t help that It felt like she wasn’t staring me down or some shit. And I was trying to dig as fast as I could, but my mom came out in the backyard and asked what I was doing. Couldn’t say, “ahh just eating ice cream…with a shovel”.

She didn’t come over and look. She just said thanks for getting her and burying her, but now this is one more thing that she has to deal with.

Turning into a pet cemetery at my house. Buried another cat in the rose bush from the same shit. Folks driving too damn fast.

…give me break man.

Holy shit :frowning_with_open_mouth:. Sorry that happened.

There’s a saying i heard, life can be shit and keep hammering the f**k out of you or it can be awesome and everything is going perfect. Eventually, it goes back to the middle and balances out. Hang in there @planetcybertron

This fucking dunce of a human being, who I’ve seen two other times, fucked up the last two sets I had. Idk if it’s because I have a baby face, or because I’m short, or I’m a female, or some weird combo of the three, but I don’t need help from anyone at the gym I go to.

I re-racked my 5th set. Took a one min breather, and was about to un-rack. I was getting my bearings and adjusting myself. I think I re-adjusted three times, and some guy decided I needed help all of a sudden. Not to mention every time I would sit up after re-racking, he was making full eye contact with me. Riddle me this, if I didn’t need help the other five sets, what the hell makes you think I needed help on this one?

I’m about to get the barbell out of the racks, I’m staring at a fixed spot on the ceiling to focus, and all I see is this guys nostrils and what I presume to be his shorts.

“That looks too heavy, you might drop that on yourself. Take some weight off”. I said no. Of course it’s rather heavy. I’m working on adding weight to the bar. Not to mention I’ve already dropped a barbell while benching, dead on my face, with an extra 35lbs. If I drop it, I’ll live. You dunce. I can deal with ignorant comments, but he decided to actually put both hands on the fully loaded barbell I was handling. You don’t fuck with someone mid rep, and you don’t fuck with someone who doesn’t need your help. I didn’t want to resist during the lift because there’s a crap ton of things that can go wrong from trying to struggle with weight on the bar.

He was trying to lift the barbell off of me, I was trying to get him to leave. All this fucked up whatever energy I had left to complete my last set. With me concerning benching, if I exhaust whatever energy for benching, that’s it. Until next rotation.

What’s funny is this is the same guy I see during the mid mornings, looking at me from afar when my working set is typically 315 for squatting. If I can handle my squat weights, why are you irritating me on the bench all of a sudden?

I re-rack finally, and just stare him down until he leaves. He looked at me like I started all of this. Sure.

I laugh at it now, but during this whole whatever, It irritated me at that time. If this was an attempt to flirt with me, wait until I’m done so I can gladly shoot you down, and carry on with my night. Thinking I should stick to coming right when the gym opens. There’s usually no one around the bench areas.

That’s fucked. You’d have every right to tear him a new one.

True, true, but at the same time, it’s a commercial gym.

I guess you get what you pay for. When the times comes where I can upgrade to an actual PL gym, with serious coaches, it’ll be less common to run into creeps.

That doesn’t matter! Douchebaggery like that isn’t acceptable anywhere. You don’t touch the bar unless asked, or unless someone’s pinned under it.
