I get cold around my face a lot, so I’ll cocoon my head in blankets and put socks on. My husband radiates heat and so do I, and I can’t stand sweating while trying to sleep so I just give him all the cover. Although sometimes I’ll sleep with the sheet. Maybe lol.

Rant:
I have a giant issue with people and their egos. Really any egos. But the ones in particular above else are the people who must immediately jump upon their high horses just because they have a masters, doctorates, or PhD/MD.
It’s these exact types of people I am half way annoyed with, but halfway interested in to a sense. A stamped piece of paper that has been framed and is hanging or sitting somewhere in a room does not, nor will it ever dictate your character, or your integrity in a whole sense. You can be the greatest doctor, mathematician, or scientist, if your personality is ass ugly, usually brought on by years of acknowledgement, and social praise coupled with status, that lends you into thinking you are better than any one human on this earth, there’s a huge problem.
Not to mention there’s a plethora of stuff that science, math, and chemistry has yet to even explain or scratch the surface on, on this planet alone. When the day comes that we as humans even breach the possibility of knowing everything there is to know, I will gladly roll over in my own grave and punch my own face. Until then, it would be wise for even the ones well versed in “the persuit of knowledge”, to carry themselves as if they know nothing. And I say that in terms of being humble.
On the secondary level come the people who have egos due to money, societal status, or in the case of this domain strength or the perceived notion of it. They shouldn’t be let off so easily either.
It is folks like these that are going to be sitting in a dimly lit room, as they’re much older, on a couch with fluffy pillows, looking directly at me, while I ask them, “and how does that make you feel?”, if and when they ever come to terms with themselves. All the certificates in the world do not change an ugly attitude.
I giggle to myself when I even think of the reality that doctors need doctors. Heh.

Still though you’re close to a 4 plate squat, and could probably do that right now, which i know you are not attempting at this point until you are ready and to be safe. Im trying to get to a three plate lol.
Yea mainly for my hip safety. My legs I’ve taken pretty good care of, but even before I started powerlifting I’ve always had irritable hips.
And once you hit a 3 plate squat the rest is history. Lol. Once I hit a four plate squat I’m probably only gonna start moving up in 5-10 pound increments. I’ve been getting away with 20 pound jumps. But probably not for much longer. My deadlift seems to be more forgiving and I jump pretty decently in strength. Bench has always crept along slowly but steadily. Next on my list is a 2 plate bench. I’d be happy. Lol
same id estimate my one rep max is 80kg atm lol, are you going to do a powerlifting meet anytime soon?
Edit i don’t care about bench that much but my biggest goal is a two plate overhead press.
I plan to next year. Not exactly sure when. I’d like to take someone either more skilled than I, or a coach. Just so they can help me out if I need help.
It’ll be a looooong day before I ever see myself OHP 2 plates. When I do, I’ll probably have been lifting for well over 10+ years.
Ohp is probably my biggest goal at the moment. Im giving myself a time span of 2 years and even less. My current one rep max is 50kg but its a long shot. I believe i can if i work hard enough. I think you could do it too.
I can sloppily OHP 135. That’s about it. I can do all the 3 basic Oly lifts with 135 but after a while I might try to increase that.
Olympic lifting is pretty cool tbh, i havent tried it before in fear of injury. It is a very technically proficient lift and i am still a noob learning squat form lol.

C&J, along with a Snatch. Can’t decide between those two. Pretty good on the squat portion of the snatch, I just struggle to get my hands and arms up all the way.

Yeah , i keep wanting to say that but i don’t want to degrade women in any way unintentionally/and or possibly offend you and say your feats are impressive for a woman, although they are lol. Actually you’re squatting surpasses a few of the guy lifters on here. lol i wont name them though😁
Lol, id prefer the snatch ( even thou iv never done them), as the clean and jerk looks silly to me idk why.
Update:
Haven’t been able to do anything for a solid week due to Hurricane Harvey. Our house is fine, we’re just trapped in our neighborhood. Our county has had to dump at least 3 major reservoirs I think, to stop the flooding. The hurricane is going to dip into the Gulf, and come straight back up through Galveston and Houston and then leave. Probably between tommorow and the day after.
My dad lives closer to downtown, and he’s had to leave his complex. He stays on the second floor, but the water has reached into all of the downstairs units.
All our major freeways and beltways are closed down, and my gym in particular has water coming into lobby, so lucky me I’ll have to relocate once again.
Past week all I’ve been doing is mobility and jump rope work, and HIIT stuff I find online. I’ve tried running in my neighborhood, and got soaked. So that’s that. Our city probably won’t be functioning properly for another week, maybe week and a half. Meh.
Hope all the families and friends are staying safe and making the most out of everything. Sucks for their houses and cars.
