I know there’s a separate forum for training logs but I figured this would be the best place to ask for replies… Since you’ve decided to use anabolics, how do you structure your training? The more specific you can be the better. I’m hoping to get a look at your training journals. Thanks in advance.
Do you already have a routine? If so, you should be able to add an extra set per exercise, take less rest days generally, and/or progress in weight being lifted more quickly. I know you asked for specifics, but the actual exercise selection and set/rep scheme shouldn’t depend on whether or not someone is using anabolics.
@big_boy_today
thank you. I’ve been a fan of Christian Thibaudeau and he’s been stressing the importance of naturals reducing volume and frequency to avoid overtraining and chronically elevated cortisol. His previous programs, say five years ago, were all 2 hour gut-check sessions. He’s now backing 45-50 minute sessions. However, he keeps referring to 24/7 proteins synthesis and how differently enhanced athletes train so I wanted to get an idea of what it looks like.
My on cycle training regime is the same as my off cycle regime
The demands on the CNS do not change with AAS, so that will always be the limiting factor in any individual program. Your recovery is better enhanced, which means that you should be able to recover sooner than a natty, or at least recover from more significant muscle trauma in the same amount of time. When i competed my training partner was on many grams per week and I was on nothing. He outlifted me on some things in the gym on cycle (But I always beat him at the contest), but we essentially trained exactly the same. Your genetics are going to play a huge role in what you do.
I think you need to just find a good program and stick to it. Even when you start taking gear, the increase in weight being lifted alone will likely provide enough added intensity without increasing the volume through other factors.
