End of TRT period of 9 years

Situation: approximately 9 years of continuous TRT (following several years of cycling and two previous TRT periods), using various protocols, including twice weekly 50mg/SC enanthate for the last 5 years. The results were always acceptable, with regular blood tests showing a haematocrit level of around 45 and free testosterone levels remaining in the range of high reference values to twice the reference value. Oestradiol remained below 40.
I have now decided to stop TRT and see if I can get back within the “reference values” on my own. I also experienced increased irritation and intolerance in the last year and want to see now if that was maybe due to the higher T levels. On 20 August, I administered my last dose of testosterone enanthate 50 mg. Yesterday, 11 September, I had my blood tested and these were the values

LH and FSH are already at this level after 22 days. Can I assume that this is a good sign, or are these values already too high? There is a limited amount of total testosterone, and the high SHBG means that the amount of free testosterone is so low that it is virtually zero. As a result, I feel quite depressed (anxiety), have itchy skin (although this could also be due to sun irritation, is itchy skin recognisable with virtually no testosterone?), fatigue, insomnia and, of course, no libido. I am not taking clomid, nolvadex, HCg or any other products to reboost my own T-production. Take into account that regular doctors in Belgium don’t know anything about TRT and that we have to find our gear in UG labs..

I will take another test within a month. The aim is to see clear progress by then.

I have no personal experience with this but Pete Rubish fully recovered from a decade of constant anabolic use. Check him out on YouTube he went from an elite powerlifter to a marathon runner who can still lift impressive numbers.

Can anyone relate to the following symptoms after stopping T/TRT? It started a week after the last SC injection with 50mg test enanthate and has now lasted for 4 weeks. Irritation at the end of the urethra. Not painful when urinating, but mainly irritation, a burning sensation for hours afterwards and therefore almost entire days. As can be seen above, free T is very low. I assume oestradiol will also be low to very low then? The lab only measured whether it was above or below the lower limit. Could this hormone crash also cause this irritation (all other causes for this urethral irritation have already been ruled out, including no leukocytes or erythrocytes in the urine or STDs) and through what mechanism? I have read that in women, an oestrogen deficiency can lead to irritation of the urethra, for example.

LH and FSH numbers are just showing that your balls are online again. Strange that the numbers would be this high after only a month. The compounds are barely out of your system.
Your testosterone number is still very low. I’m assuming testos.bind.globulin is SHBG? This number is very high. Has it always been on the higher side? Is vrij test berekend free test? While in range it’s on the higher side.
See where bloods are in another month. Time will tell if this will recover.

While in range it’s on the higher side.–> they are at 0,05 so practically non existent I think.

Indeed, that means SHBG and they are alwasy elevated (50-75 range), i’ve never known why

Yes, I myself was surprised that LH and FSH were this high, only 22 days after the last shot and TRT for 9 years.

I’m going to the regular doctor tomorrow for new lab tests. The day after tomorrow, I’m seeing another doctor to see what he can do for me. He knows some about TRT (was the formal doctor of a know footballclub in Belgium here)

The way I feel now, I don’t want to go on like this for months. Too much insomnia and brainfog…This last doctor only wanted to prescribe Androgel, which isn’t really ideal. I don’t feel like continuing with underground stuff again on my own..

New bloodwork of today. All values (LH, FSH, total T and free T) all practically doubled, maar free T is still non existant.. This is two weeks after the initial bloodwork and 36 days after last SC 50test enanthate. Thoughts?? Could this work with patience?

Visited the urologist for persistent symptoms (urinary urgency, painful ejaculation, burning sensation, difficulty urinating. It started like I already posted abobve with urethra irritation but went on to this other related urinary symptoms of prostate irriation). He indicated that it was prostate inflammation (examined the prostate and performed an ultrasound). I have been prescribed ciprofloxacin and solifenacin for three weeks now, but there has been no improvement after a cpouple of days. He did not consider the fact that I had stopped 9j TRT the week before to be important (little known here in our country) . My PSA is not elevated, there are no bacteria in my urine, and I hear that prostate ultrasounds are more a matter of interpretation, so I wonder if it might not just be the end of TRT and it was the logical diagnose in his head. The symptoms started mildly the week after I stopped, when T dropped quickly, and got worse as the weeks went by. Can any of you tell me whether the severe relapse after the end of TRT could irritate my prostate in this way? It sounds contradictory that very low free T would cause the prostate to enlarge/become inflamed, but I have also read articles that say this is possible. I will wait another three to four weeks, but if there is no improvement, I will simply go back on TRT (doctor’s prescription German gel).

Hi,

I’m fairly new to all this so don’t have my own opinion on this. I was speaking to gym owner who is very very experienced with all steroids about my own cycle and what’s protocol if I wanted to come off everything. He swears by your body will always sort its self out eventually and as little as 3 weeks after things starting to wake up again. This made sense when I read your other post About LH numbers already been good.

Did I miss if there is any PCT?

There was not. Cold turkey stop. Brainfog, emotional issues are a lot better now. Just wondering what the prostate irritation is causing when I stopped TRT. Very low levels T could cause this? The sudden high levels of LH and FSH?

nobody? (btw, prostate was 18,8 cmÂł, so not enlarged).
