Emotional Attachment to a Cat

Sadly, for us guys, sometimes the only way to get clarity is to bang it. Sometimes, that still doesn’t work and the only solution is to find another pussy

Was “cat” a metaphor in this thing?

I thought it was being used in a literal sense. Man, I’m stupid.

Coveting thy neighbor’s pussy has gotten many a man in trouble.

Any guy not named Bill Clinton

I read The Qualities of the Prince last week. Excerpts of it anyway.

What about the dogs? I’ve always heard they come down with the cats.

The Prince is a short book: read the whole thing. It’s worth it.

Different metaphor. Coming down like cats and dogs is like a jazzy drum break followed by a bass solo.

Rush does it a lot.

*at least that’s my understanding of it. Not necessarily grounded in reality.

I listen to Tupac a bunch. Does that count?

I have actually read The Prince. It was my first year in college, and I didn’t like the writing style very much (thought it was hard to read). Did okay on the book report.

Many authors had to use difficult language in that era to avoid possible excommunication or beheading if the wrong people actually understood them, haha.

My ADHD had me taking about 20 minutes a page to understand it.

IIRC, the premise is if you want to be the leader of a bunch of thugs, you better be the worst one. I also get that from some of Tupac’s more gangster songs. I believe Tupac was a big fan of the book (thus his alias Makaveli).

Be CAPABLE of being the worst one, but not always the worst one.

If you read a translation then it wasn’t Machiavelli’s style.

It was in English, so probably.

That’s not the premise at all.

Was about 14 years ago. I could have it wrong.

Rather than kill the cat with a knife you can ‘kill’ the parts of your psyche/heart/blah blah that is attached

But if your purpose in that would be only to prevent/avoid heartache or pain, it’s probably not worth it

It was a selected work in a book I have for college writers. I love old literature. Fascinating

Can snag it for $2 on Kindle. So worth it.

I say we change the name of the thread to “Have you ever beta orbited a cat?”
