Amazingly my first time posting here, a testament to how bored I am at work.
worthashot, here is my “rate my physique” topic from 2013
You’ll note how my hips also jut out at the sides, giving me a lovely hourglass figure (most notable in the front shot and the front double bi). HOWEVER, you’ll also note that I built up a big enough back that it really doesn’t f-ing matter. All of this was done without steroids, just eating and training well.
I DO understand your situation, as no matter how much fat I cut, I have blocky hips. I also know that everyone else has been completely correct with their advice. You need to add some muscle.
Quit doing Stronglifts. The creator of it is very unaccomplished, and he is instilling that in you. Do 5/3/1, or the Cube Method, or Westside Barbell for Skinny bastards, or any program where the author is actually accomplished. Do a ton of upperback work. Lay out your plan, see how much lat work you planned on doing, then immediately double it. Eat a lot of dead animals. This should help you.
Dude, did you even read what I said? " Before people try to rant about it to me again, no, i’m not still trying to find that out, i’m just going to lift and eat for now."
Stop looking for reasons to attack me, move on with your life.
Thanks for the input T3hPwnisher, I definitely don’t notice an hourglass with your physique at all though, you look great. The difference is your ribcage and shoulders are still relatively wide compared to your hips.
Regardless though, thanks for understanding, and yeah i’m really trying to bring out my back at the moment. Wasn’t aware of that about Stronglifts, i’ll look into 5/3/1 and the cube method some more. I’ve used westside for skinny bastards before with some success so maybe I’ll move back to that. I am enjoying stronglifts for now and I’m seeing progress though, but yeah I could definitely use some more lat work. Cheers.
I’ll attempt to answer the other part of your question…
From growth hormone, bone growth is possible. Test increases bone density, but length/size - not so much. And the problem with hgh is you don’t get to choose what grows, everything does. It even causes your organs to grow, and especially your intestines. This is partly why it’s so common to see elite bodybuilders who look like big fatso’s with a six pack stretched out over a keg. Also, the bone growth it causes typically begins to look like deformation. It’s not natural or normal looking at all.
Unless you want to end up looking like a Cromagnon with a distended stomach, don’t try to grow anything other than your muscles.
I am aware of those side effects of HGH, and that post-puberty growth unfortunately only occurs in the flat bones rather than the long bones. Furthermore, for the first six months of HGH use bone resorption is greater than bone formation so it takes at least a year before any net gain of bone mass is found, and yes that bone growth is unlikely to be favourable except maybe in the wrists. As such I have no intention of using HGH, though I did consider the peptides at one stage.
As for AAS, I could be wrong, but I have read studies showing increases in bone mass in pubertal males following the use of non-aromatizing steroids. However, unfortunately puberty is over for me so It is unlikely to have that effect on my body. Still for some reason I want to try it, I know it most likely won’t work, and for that reason I won’t do it for now. But I am still interested to see what would happen if I went on a cycle before the age of 25 (assuming I was ready with enough mass/strength first) and whether I would any permanent width (yeah probably not though).
For AAS, the increase in bone mass you’re referring to is accounted for by the increased bone density I mentioned above. Doesn’t necessarily mean they’re going to grow bigger.
If you read my whole post and don’t just take a single line out of context you’ll see I’m not at all suggesting that you can just take HGH and get taller.
I.E.
“Also, the bone growth it causes typically begins to look like deformation.”
And
“Unless you want to end up looking like a Cromagnon with a distended stomach…”
The Cromagnon statement being a reference to the same brow growth you just mentioned.
your post was ambiguous. You specifically said “everything does” which some people will take to mean your bones will grow, leading to limbs getting longer and suchlike
Pex if you actually read my posts I’ve stated several times I’m aware that I need to build more muscle and I’m working on it.
As for T3hPwnisher our frames can’t really be compared unless I saw earlier photos of him. Wide hips are not an issue unless they are wide relative to the shoulders. Regardless It doesn’t change the fact I need to build more muscle I was just stating a potential difference in our frames.
Lmao you really must be reading my comments with the wrong tone.
I know you’re just trying to annoy me but it’s not working. If you’d like I can remove the censoring that you complained about from my OP and you can see what a real penis looks like. I may have wide hips but I guarantee i’m a lot more man than you
I had that information before I even made this thread, I was looking for new information. Besides most of the time it was other people continuing it, such as yourself, I’m just replying.
There is no other information. You need a good diet and training program to add size to your frame. This is the only solution.
Also you need to get over your body image issue - Seriously your frame is absolutely fine you just need to train hard and eat the right macros to put on muscle.
You probably don’t have the proportions that would be a benefit to an aspiring pro bodybuilder but if you weren’t so skinny you would have nothing to worry about.
Whilst I don’t really agree with your first sentence (you never know what could be out there, never say never haha) I agree that continuing to diet and train well and improve it as much as I can is the best I can do for now.
As for my body image, sure my appearance bothers me but it’s more the way people perceive me because of my appearance that bothers me. But either way I need to build more muscle to address it. Thanks for the words of encouragement though and for not falling into the schoolyard bitching that a lot of kids in this thread have fallen into.
