Well, you have your fan base of older women living in Provence, and I’ve got mine of…I’ve got mine.
For some reason I was thinking I was on the last 5/3/1 cycle with the first working set, but it didn’t hurt. Speed was a lot better coming up this week as well. No clue what it’s for, but I think all that trib and liquid milk thistle really helped. Once I lay off the alcohol and get my doc to sign off on that Novaldexamathingie prescription, I should really be rockin’. A big thank you to my loyal fan base.

Followed up with a superset:
BB Ab rolls: 10x3
DB swings: 90x10, 90x12x2
yeah dooode! when are you starting your cycle?
those damn bb rollouts kill me right below the xphoid process

oh - nice squats!
This is actually my 2nd cycle in 5/3/1. Wait…what?
Oh, you’re talkin’ about that novacaine thing. Well, I’m waiting for the followup to find out more about it. Sounds awesome.
Like Shugart, I’m humble enough to take advice from others. Just don’t ask my wife.
Yeah, those rollouts really are good for some ab doms the next day. The swings really get me, though. After each set I felt like I had done about 15 minutes of cardio.
+2 over last cycle on the 130, but much stronger than that effort. I started out with 90 (same as last week) on the follow-up sets, and that felt light so I bumped it up 5. That was perfect, and I felt better doing those than I did the 90 last week. Overall big improvement on these, and I’m much happier. I’m raising this 10# for next cycle.
Followed this up with a superset of:
Chest supported DB rows: 90x8x3
Fat bar curls: 95x8, 100x6, 105x7, 85x8

Nice work sfp! You just keep moving up!
Thanks, Strick. I’m much happier this time around with my military.
I helped an old lady in the neighborborhood move this evening, so I got in plenty of GPP. I didn’t even feel bad about having a big plate of pasta (heavy on the meat sauce) for dinner. Special Olympics soccer tomorrow means plenty of walking around herding boys. I suppose I’ll whatever I want tomorrow, too!
Not sure what went wrong today, but I felt slow and weak from the very start. Since I got 375x4 last cycle, it’s disturbing, and hopefully a fluke. I didn’t check my horoscope today, though, so I’m not entirely certain.
Next cycle I’m going to do nothing but deficit pulls, perhaps with a BBB template. I’m hoping that will help me with the initial pull as well as to generate better speed.
Interestingly, I seem to do best on the 2nd wave and worst on the 3rd (except for military last Friday). Be interesting to see what bench and squat bring later this week.
I think it’s the accumulation of fatigue. Wave 3 has been tough the last two cycles. I’ve decided to cut back a bit on assistance and pretty much stick to prescribed reps on waves 1 and 2. I want to see if that helps repping out on wave 3.
I’ll be looking forward to your results, then. It might be fatigue, but I’m not sure. I’ve definitely felt fatigued all day! On lower I’ve only been doing the prescribed assistance, so I’m not going overboard there.
Might be time to turn to the trib, milk thistle, and Nolvadex that helpful guy insisted would work so well!
Whoa, I woke up and found myself halfway down the 2nd page. I need to come up with a superhero name, pronto.
OK, 5/3/1 bench:
Main event: bar x10, 135x5, 155x5 (wu), 175x5, 200x3, 220x4, 220x3
Ended up same number of reps, +5 pounds over last cycle. Not great, but improvement. Bump up +5 for next cycle.
Was in a hurry, so followed up with a superset:
Arnold press: 45x10x2, 45x9
Wide grip pull-ups: BW x6x3
Fat bar curls: 95x8x2, 95x6
Deload next week, for which I’m going to do some cleans and tons of GPP since we’re moving into a new house. We have a big storage unit where our stuff has been sitting for 6 months since we came back from Japan. Can’t wait to finally settle in.
