First, I want to apologize for the bickering that Zebenstein and myself have been doing across various threads. Sorry about that.
I really doubt anyone cares to read it, but hey, I could be wrong. If you like to read this ongoing bickering, I’m hoping you’ll find it all here in one thread for your viewing pleasure.
Zebenstein, this is your personal invitation to accuse me of being an elitist, ultra-liberal, anti-american, pride supressing communist, socialist, relativist or whatever it is you currently have an antipathy for.
From now on simply cut and paste the offensive material into this thread and have at me.
That way, you and I can argue about stuff without polluting the originating threads. Does that sound at least somewhat reasonable to you? I know you have accused me of wanting to limit your ability to criticize me – and frankly, that is not the point.
Raise the lightning rods up, get fired up and pursue your favorite ultra-liberal anti-american elitist prey. By the way Zebenstein, I’m curious, are you even aware of when and why you developed a hate-on for the liberal viewpoint?
I agree with the original poster. It is not unpatriotic to question our President.
However, depending upon how it’s done it can be considered US bashing for a foreigner to do it!
Okay Zeb, if you won’t pull things from out there into here, then I will. I really don’t want to continue to pollute the general forum.
Anyhow, why don’t you get an actual example of what you claim? Show us what in your opinion should be considered US bashing. Are you talking in general, or do you have anyone in mind?
Here those people are saying that they don’t view america as more important than any other country and yet they feel the need to apologise to the world. If we arent more important then why do they think anyone else cares? Extreme losers.
The thing that most of the extreme left doesn’t get is that they lost the election for kerry. If they would have let kerry run on a more moderate platform he would have easily won. I probably would have voted for him. LOL
I’d hate to drag this off-topic, but I’m not sure you see the irony of your own comment.
I think you are stuck on the word “important”. The US may or may not be more important than any other country in the world, but at times it may act like it is.
[Hey, this should be good fuel for the Zebenstein too!]
Really, nice try on the twist, but if these people feel the US is doing bad things to the rest of the world, wouldn’t that be appropriate to apologize for? Or should the US just do whatever it wants on a worldwide basis?
What say you? Does the rest of the world have any say in anything… and if not, why not nuke the world and get rid of all the dissenters once and for all?
Damned liberals, commies and islamofascists, all of them…
Vroom- let’s see: you think the UN is pretty much useless, you favor a flat tax and think it should be easier to operate a business.
Young man, you’re no ultra-lib, in fact you aren’t even a good lib. You appear to be a snarky little libertarian. Now, I don’t know how that would go over in the Great White North, eh, but it’s a-okay here in the States.
BTW, besides that bastard who wouldn’t let me merge into the one lane in Banff NP (the bastard), I think you Canadians are very polite- to a fault. Take off eh, or some such thing.
Here those people are saying that they don’t view america as more important than any other country and yet they feel the need to apologise to the world. If we arent more important then why do they think anyone else cares? Extreme losers.

Vroom: This isn’t irony. He’s right. Did Mexico apologize for their last election? Open your eyes, you ultra-liberal elitist moral-relativistic scum! After seeing that website, I wanna start one called werenotsorry.com, and fill it with pictures of dead terrorists. You anti-American socialist commie pinko… uh… ultra-liberal (damn! used that one already). Shit! This is hard. We need to come up with some more labels, 'cause I’m running out over here. Zeb? Help me out, man!
Hey vroom, I think the second photo down is you with a phoney wig, beard and a cigarette dangling from your mouth…Come to think of it…it’s an improvement! LOL
(Kidding…don’t get excited…I know you wouldn’t be caught holding a sign that poorly constructed)
Come on Zebenstein, you know the election is over right? Chadman wasn’t talking about who to elect, he was talking about the concept of criticism, which I presume you noticed.
You missed a chance to denigrate Clinton while you were on the topic of your hero though…
No lightning on your end of the planet there Zebby?
I can only paraphrase Tony Blair when he spoke of the inherent “greatness” of America and it’s place in the world. He said (or words to this effect) that he judges the greatness of a country by the number of people trying to get out as compared to the number trying (and dying for that matter) to get in.
As an aside-and this is not a new concept- I am willing to contribute to a collection for all those who want and/or threaten to leave the country in search of a more peaceful place to set up camp. I personally recommend the Ivory Coast, Somalia, North Korea, Mosambique, Columbia, Iran, Iraq, awww heck, any place but in my America! But WAIT! Who would make MOVIES and give us the NEWS? Oh my GOD, we have be stuck watching movies featuring only Bruce Willis, Tom Selleck and Arnold? and watchin Fox News! Hey, that doesn’t sound too bad!
