So i purchased about $400 worth of stuff from elitefts, and let me say that the quality of the gear is very low. It is not at all what i expected from them. The belt that i ordered is a 10mm royal blue belt in a medium size. My waist is about a 32, and this belt does not COME CLOSE to fitting. It said it will fit 25.5" to 34.5" and it actually fits far smaller then this. The quality of the t shirts are very low also. All iron-ons. I have to say though that the foam roller that i ordered is awesome, but this doesnt justify this much money being spent. Also, i would just like to add that after i was charged for the items, and 31 in shipping fees, i had to pay an additional 80 on broker fees. 110 to get this 17 lbs packaged shipped to Toronto is brutal.
Just like to add that if i want a new size of belt, it will cost me 50 to ship it back, then another broker fee to get it back here again.
Anyone have this experience?
I’ve had problems with them before as well, first and last time I ever bought anything there. I ordered 2 pairs of knee sleeves, specifically asked over the phone to send them USPS, they said ok… what happens, they come UPS, and I get raped on broker charges like you, and to top it off they sent me a pair of elbow sleeves, and only one pair of knee sleeves, not two like ordered. So I got them to send me another set of knee sleeves, asked again to have them sent USPS, they say ok… fuckers send it UPS, and I get raped on broker charges again.
Needless to say I’ll never order from them again.
Lol, sounds like a fail of communication on your part, it is your duty to make sure the receivers properly decoded the message.
Sounds like you’re an EliteFTS nuthugger that can’t read.
I was clear with them, I didn’t order in Morse code, I ordered over the phone and talked to an EliteFTS person every time I called, and made it very clear what I wanted. I also stated (before making the purchase) to the idiot on the phone that IF they could not send the parcel USPS I did not want to place an order. Hopefully people reading this can differentiate between USPS and UPS, USPS is United States Postal Service, it cost less to ship, and you don’t pay brokerage fees with them, or at least I never have.
Sounds like you’re ignorant of how communication works. If you effectively communicated what you wanted, they would have done it how you asked. As well, you should probably read the fact that they don’t use USPS, they have explained this.
SO you work for them or just suck their dicks?
I talked to them on the phone, I used the words United States Postal Service to avoid confusing them with the abbreviation, there was no room for communication error, they said they would ship to me USPS as I requested, BOTH times - and both times they fucked it up. End of story.
My vote is he likes to suck their dicks
Some of you guys are real assholes. As I said, I work with them. Not for them.
I’ve had no issues other than the knee sleeves. They just are sized small.
As for their equipment, it is not cheap. But there are reasons I’ve bought from them. When I got my power rack 13 years ago they had some design features I liked as compared to other available racks. You had 1" and 2" distances between holes in the bench area and sq/dl areas. Other racks had 4" distances between holes. This makes the rack for me.
Their j hooks also has better designs. It was much mire shallow which facilitated taking the bar off.
Since then I bought multiple bars, metal gear, monolift, foam rollers , a rickshaw, books, DVDs, etc. No problems.
Elite is quicker than inzer by a landslide. I don’t care for elite belts compared to some others . I had a bob Morris belt in the past and currently use an inzer lever. Decided to try a pr belt. 5 weeks later I’m still waiting. Which I expected.
I swear some people here think they should get paid for shopping there.
As for other places, ironmind has been great to deal with but to me is incredibly overpriced. Check out the price on pulling blocks.
Which I have. Funny thing is they almost doubled in one year back after I got mine.
Their stuff is solid but to expensive IMO. I’m talking squat stands , pulling blocks, not grippers and such.

I ordered a spud deadlifting belt in a large and it was way to big. I have put on 25 pounds since then and it just barely fits now. that’s why i got a medium. My dad is a 28" waist, and he cannot get the elitefts belt on.
I think i am just mainly pissed about the belt. By the time i ship it back to them, and get it back here i would have paid for two. I will just deal with it and grab myself a nice toro belt.
Okay, so you originally bought one brand of belt…A Spud dead lift belt, a large (32-36") and it was too big at first, then you grew out of it by gaining 25 lbs. Then you bought another brand of belt…and went a size down to a medium (25.5-34.5). If you grew out of a belt that at max will contain 36" why would you buy a belt that would only contain 34.5"?
I never said i grew out of it. Read the sentence dummy. It BARELY fits now after gaining 25 pounds. Plus, i am planning on loosing 15. But even then, there is not a chance this belt will fit.

OP,
if you’re in Toronto, why not buy chalk locally? Is there something special about Elite FTS chalk?
I was getting other things, like the belt, so i figured i would grab that too.
Now that i have calmed down about the belt issue, i guess there is nothing wrong with anything else. I was just pissed about how much it cost to get it here.

These are very true points.
The eblow and knee sleeve sizing is just plain wrong IMO, but since I bought them as a cheap back-up incase something happened to my Rehbands, I just said fuck it and kept them (I can wear the knee sleeves I got on my arms kinda).
As far as the belt sizing, I had a similar problem with Inzer - their sizing didn’t seem to line up to what I had measured on my belly plus by the time I finally got the belt from them I had gained enough weight that it barely fit (lesson learned about getting a size bigger).
Ordered my chains on Monday from EFS. Got them Yesterday (wednesday) even though the website and my receipt said it’d take 1-2 weeks. Like I said, never had a bad order yet.
I also ordered a Spud belt and it seemed to be sized big. I just kept it. There are a few guys who workout out with me, so someone will use it.
My favorite belts are Inzer and Bob Morris custom belts. I prefer solid leather with no plastic inserts. My son loves his Elite belt. Some of this is personal preference.
Yup, i love my spud belt. It just doesnt have quite enough support for me when i start lifting heavy. Solid product overall though.
I have learned my lesson. Order a size bigger ALWAYS.

I think that getting a bunch of people together and ordering all at once would help with the brokerage fees.
As for the super heavy knee sleeves, as I stated earlier. their sizing is WAY off, I should know I have a pair of 4xl and they barely fit me, even though they are meant for people 275 lb and up… but I also have stubby, fat legs.
Call them and work with them, trust me they will be good at figuring out a solution.

Never once have I had a problem. Probably placed 5-10 orders from belts to t-shirts. Will be building my gym through them.
Save a boat load of money and look at www.legendfitness.com. Used them for my basement and couldn’t be happier and a TON cheaper and just as high quality. Have trained on power-lift, samson, york etc and legend is right up there quality wise but way down with prices. Check them out before you fall victim to the elite brainwash. Just my thoughts, do with it what you want.
Legend does make really nice stuff. Question: how long did it take to get your stuff? Isn’t their stuff made after you order it?

Okay, still it doesn’t make sense, you barely fit in a belt so you buy a smaller size?
Ordered my econo prowler- awesome
Also, i didn’t get the super heavy knee sleeves, just the heavies, and the weight size worked perfectly.
Some of you are ridiculous. First, there is clearly a high percentage of Canadians who’ve ordered from Elite and had problems, so maybe this isn’t an isolated incident.
Second, Dave Tate would “fuck him up” ? Really?
Tate is a businessman and family man with a very public persona (see him on Facebook, for instance). He’s not some “Look at me, I’m alpha, bitches!” e-thug like some of you who circle jerk over hypothetical grudge matches.
If you were to actually talk to him I would be willing to bet that he’d say, “Look, what can I do to make this right for you?” Take care of you, maybe give you a friendly jab for not ordering properly and being from Canada, then invite you to lift with him the next time you’re in Ohio (which is, like, never).
Well, he’d probably do all that HAD YOU NOT BLASTED THE COMPANY ON A PUBLIC FORUM.
Even the complaint that would make maybe the most sense(the t-shirt quality, cause they’re cheap, that’s kind of the point) doesn’t. I’ve gotten so many clothing items from them when they do their ridiculous buy 7 things get 70% sale, and I think 1 shirt so far has had any sort of graphic wear from being iron on, and a few have holes in them cause they rip easily wearing a dip belt. Oh noes, my 3 dollar shirt I wear only for lifting has a little hole at the bottom.
Maybe I am an EFTS nut hugger though, I order from them all the time(next day shipping for free cause I live so close, love that place!).

THE BELT WAS TOO BIG TO BEGIN WITH. ITS STILL BIG AFTER GAINING 25 POUNDS. CLEAR ENOUGH?
