Electrolytes and Energy

Two distinctly different questions:

I found in high school that if I took potassium supp with my multivit in the the morning I had considerably less DOMS and even a little less acute soreness. I restarted taking potassium recently and have found the same issue. Is there an actual scientific explaination to this or is it all in my head?

I have been doing a powerlifting workout of my own design. When I’m done I am completly wiped out. Some times I can make time for an hour nap and feel much better. Often I can’t make time for it and am wiped out all day. I have made sure I’m rehyderated and that helps, I take a Grow! shake right after my workout. Other than that I eat food throughout the day but am willing to use another supp if it would help. I was gonna order some Spike but it’s all sold out. I requested a sample but that’ll take a bit. Help a brother out here.

As for the potass. you are most likely just balancing out your sodium to potassium levels. Its all good. Your can supplement or try and fit bananas and cabbage, both high in it, into your diet on a regular basis.
