…doing Eruption live.
Jesus Christ!
Aye, Eddie is the man!!
He is exceptional no doubt, but that is the simple version of what he used to do in the 80’s.
On a side note, if you have been playing guitar for longer than 5 years and cannot play Eruption, you need to quit.

Of course he was sober doing the one in the video!
I dont play guitar (or any musical instrument) but love anything Eddie does.

I’ve seen posts and photos of Eddie’s drummer on the Physique and Performance thread asking if he should cut or bulk.[/quote]
That would be Alex Van Halen. I’m guessing instead of “cut or bulk” it is probably more like “heroin or hollywood”.
Though Eruption does sound impressive, I would have to agree with tremelo24 that it can be learned by most guitarists. If you wanna hear some REAL crazy guitar works check out people like Vai, Malmsteen, Buckethead, or even Rusty Cooley (for his sheer playing speed).
Or, search for “AirTap!” on youtube and see if that does it for ya.

You simply HAVE to download or find a clip of him playing Spanish Fly on the acoustic.
To this day I have not come to terms with his ability.

And Hendrix wreckin’ shit!
speaking of Hendrix. I found this clip of Unknown Hinson making it look easy to play Hendrix. Im actually go to see this guy on Saturday. This dude can play…!
hehe…
Go really old skool with Paganini.
Paganini was doing hammers, pulls and string plucking on violin in the early 1800’s. Some of his work is amazing.
Check out Caprice No 24. http://www.myspace.com/nicpaganini

Did the Motzart link make you guys think White Lion too?
Not sure if it’s the way his guitar was tuned or what.
b.
I just read a bit on this Pagininni guy .
it was thought he may have sold his soul to the Devil , as he could make young women wet themselves , or climax , or something along those lines
pretty awesome stuff there.
Speaking of awesome stuff, I saw GNR play this last sunday. First of all, I was a bit scared. Here’s why:
after having purchased my 89 buck tickets, i saw their website with a video of them… they sounded like shit.
Oh well… so I went to the concert, we tailgated it and found out GNR was going to be playing at least an hour late… well, we got in around 9:15 pm and saw Sebastian Bach from Skid Row. AWESOME.
GNR finally hit the stage at 11:40.
From my standing room only spot on the floor, all I can say is HOLY SHIT!
Axl sounded awesome and rocked like it was 1989. The entire show was out of control. They played one straight through set that finished just after 2am. The hour drive home, along with the entire 2 hours of sleep I got sucked, but you know what, I’d totally do it again.
If you get the chance to see GNR on this tour, DO IT.

I can’t believe how many ‘at home’ versions there are of Eruption on youtube. Yet, most of them suck.
That ten year old was tearing it up with his version. I should have started playing when I was younger.
