Spyderco Dragonfly, SALT edition
A more practical EDC of mine. This one stays clipped into my gym bag or Camelback.

Nice knife. Price?

About $58. The regular steel version is a bit cheaper. (H1 is rust-proof and designed for wet conditions.) A bit pricier for models with all steel handles or fancier handle material. I liked the lightness of this one.
Microtech Ultra Tech or Spyderco street beat

I wanna get a nice knife as well, what’s a good site I can browse around and eventually order one?
I like knifecenter.com. Good prices. For more limited editions and customs, see bladehq.com.
or just walk down the street apparently!! the dragonfly looks sweet. Is it a lockback?

Yes, sir. It’s on the small side. I had it on a keychain for a while.

So we can cut things. Hard to imagine, ain’t it?

Like people or zip ties? I used to carry one years back when I worked in a retail environment and actually needed to use it a lot.
I’m Texan. It’s weird to hear that some people don’t have an EDC!
My wife even carries. Spyderco Native 5. Hot pink, natch.
If you’re into pocket knives you should check out this guys website. Dude is addicted to em’, he must have dozens. Tons of links as well.

There was a story a while ago about an elderly lady that was riding on an escalator and somehow her scarf got caught in one of the mechanisms. Sadly the majority of people continued to walk past as she was being strangled, but a man and his son tried to save her. They couldn’t remove the scarf and she was strangled. She would be alive today if someone had been carrying something to cut that with. I have always carried some type of knife. It is a great tool plain and simple. I also taught my son to always carry a small pocket knife from the time he was in grade school. Unfortunately this was against school policy. The principal was actually really great about it. He took the knife from my son, called me and explained the policy and gave me the knife to deal with it as I felt it appropriate.

My daughter’s Kershaw Chive, titanium oxide coated.
This thread is making me want to buy a bunch of knives.

I have too many…and swords.
I have enough for people to ask me constantly what is wrong with me.
Strangely, I am the first they call when a box needs to be opened.

Never too many dude lol. I used to collect them as a kid. Guns in action movies are great eye candy but you have to have a knife guy imo.

good idea Push. I was wondering that myself, what others use for their high-end steel.
I am still an Arkansas stone, hand sharpen kind of guy. I have been thinking about trying a diamond sharpening system or a strop, especially if I get a sandvik blade.
I assume that you are happy with your Lansky system?

I carry around these awesome ninja sai. I call the one on the left “The Regulator” and the one on the right “The Eliminator”.
I used to be pretty good with a Bo staff too. My school had a buttload of gangs and some wanted me to join because of this.
