Since such a common theme of this forum is ed. I wanted to post a topic I have seen in alot of my research, but really have not read about much on this site.
From what I have read venous leakage seems to be a very common cause of erectial dysfunction. KSman has commented that with my testosterone level and estrogen level, I should be having erections unless there is some other type of problem. That has motivated me to research other causes besides obvious hormonal ones.
Venous leakage keeps popping up, but I can only find information about how it is treated ( the options suck ) and how a doctor diagnoses venous leakage. I have not been able to find many specific symptoms that one would have that would motivate a doctor to suspect venous leakage as the cause of ed. The two sysmtoms I found are very general (1) ed and getting an erection sitting down, but that it quickly dissappears when standing up. In one forum I read one guy who was diagnosed with venous leakage said a sign was a sudden increase in penile hardness right befor ejaculation…but I thought that was relatively typical.
I have seen several urologists and none of them have even mentioned venous leakage as a possibility. Which makes me wonder… when i describe my problem how can they rule it out so easily? Is my doctor lazy or does he just know something I don’t?
Does anyone have specific knowledge about venous leakage, and if there are symtoms that easily idenfifyable? Any personal experience with it?
on a side note here is my dr.
the guy in the blue shirt, these movies make me hope he really knows his stuff
What a clusterfuck of an “article”…it is all over the map with causes and doesn’t remotely focus on one topic…I found the headline particularly misleading (though I’m not surprised considering the source):
Psychological Problems Often the Cause of Erectile Dysfunction in Younger Men
From the article:
"Dr. Tony Sliwinski, a urologist at the Virginia Urology Center, agrees that it’s all in the head with younger men.
“I’d say this is true in at least 10 to 25 percent of all men in their 30s and somewhat less in men in their 20s who experience ED” he said."
So if it is true in 1 out of 10 men, this leads one to conclude that “its all in the head”?
Sloppy journalism at best, deliberately misleading at worst…
Cialis could be used to make sure that the mechanics of the erections are are in the game. The result will suggest where the problem is. Yes, hormones need to be in favorable ranges.
Some [typically older] men need to stay focused on sensations to maintain erections. Stand up and immediately sit down again - you were focused on something else.
Sorry I am 22 years old. Alot about me can be learned in some other posts I have (I included huge amounts of background info and test). KSman your commented that with my t levels and estrogen levels I should be okay, and that if I was having problems I should look for other causes (if you don’t remember you have commented before on giving wellbutrin a try and my prolactin levels). Thats when I read about this venous leak. Would a viagra test be the same as a cialis test? I took half a 25mg viagra pill once, and I got an erection no problem with them. But I refuse at this age to be dependant on viagra.
With my young age are there any obvious signs of venous leak ed vs. hormone related ed?
On a side note I have been on 150mg 1x daily wellbutrin for one week and it has done absolutely nothing for me. I have also given up porn…I figure it can’t be a good thing possibly desensitizing my mind to actual women…

Best to repeat your stats with new posts. Don’t ask us to search old posts. Better to continue old posts or link to them.
Viagra is good, but the window of opportunity is a few hours and Cialis is a couple of days. If a half or full dose shows that thing work well, then mechanically you are able to restrict the venous outflow from the penis. If you were not, that could indicate a problem with those mechanics.
I agree that porn could have that effect. Makes the exceptional common place.
Thanks KSman you continually seem to be more informative than the doctors. I read online that viagra can help if its a minor venous leak but not a major one. My doctor offered to specifically test for it, so i figured why not. It will be done oct 20th. If any one else has input I would love to have it.
