Your friend is right. At a t-ball game, they gave the kids from the team that lost, trophies as well. Because your kid should not have not feel like he/she failed! Sorry but in high school football, if you did something wrong, the coach chewed your ass out. You had to earn your starting position and even be on the team. By the time my kids are old enough to play high school sports, the school system will most likely make our current administration look strict and conservative.
On the basis of the one and only elementary school assembly I have attended during the last ten years I can report that sitting Indian Style is no longer called sitting Indian Style.
