EAS Protein Sucks

The worst protein I ever tried was ON casein. One of the ingredients was guar gum, which gave it this sticky, gooey texture, like a 2 day old McDonald’s “milkshake.” I want to drink my shake, not chew it.

I use ON casein and am a big fan. But I use it in shakes with a bunch of different stuff and mix in a blender so I never noticed it being sticky or gooey.

Yeah, I remember the ON casein being tolerable if mixed in a blender with other ingredients. But I am used to Metabolic Drive which mixes pretty good in plain water.

I guess it’s a hunt to find that balance between good ingredients and the right price. I’ve heard of companies now adding a lot junk fillers to offset the rising dairy costs. May be best just to bite the bullet and spend the extra cash.

My choices…

Cytosport Whey. Probably the best mixing/best tasting/cheapest whey I’ve found. Been using this for about 3 years now, and have turned most of my buddies onto it.

I hear you there…this is what I use throughout the day for protein supplementation. Tastes great and, is less expensive than other concentrates and, for the love of god, if any other company could start using Cytosport’s filtering process, it mixes effortlessly and perfectly every time.

EAS sucks. Period.
Plus Bill Phillips is one of the biggest douchebags out their.

I just wish it were possible to get a hold of some studies of these products. I really want to know what the purity TRULY is.

I dislike the supplement industry.

Minus Biotest.

Not to start any debates, but if a certain government agency started regulating supplements as they’ve considered doing, a lot more info would be available…
