Earrings and Plugs

I’ve had my ears pierced for about 6 years now. I’ve got them at a 12 gauge now and I really like the way that plugs look. I don’t want the commitment of having stretched lobes though. I’m looking for small gauge rings that have a flat face on both sides that would give the illusion of larger gauge plugs.

Does anyone know of any online vendors that may sell something like this?

Don’t you feel like putting in fake plugs would be, like, a poser move?

If you do it carefully and slowly, a gauged piercing will return to its original small size if the piercing is left out for a week or so.

If you’re doing it for style points, you’ll lose them all the instant somebody asks, “Dude, what gauge are your ears?” and you answer, “Oh, they’re not real.”

That answer only works with positive results when discussing tit-jobs.

I wish they would have come out with these five years ago. I never would have let my ears close up.

Along those same lines, has anyone repierced their ears more than once? With the clear studs now available, I may get it done again.

Yep, it did not cause any problems. I think the 2nd piercing may have been in a slightly different location… but I don’t really remember.

As long as you don’t stretch them extremely large, and do it slowly, they’ll close up if you leave them out. I had mine stretched to 0 gauge for over a year (went as far as 00 for a very brief time, decided I’d prefer to stay at 0 though), got one of them kicked out of my ear while I was in a mosh pit, and took the other one out to make them even. They closed back to a normal size fairly quickly. The largest I can confortably fit in my ears now is 14 gauge, 12 gauge is slightly too large even.
