A couple pages back there’s a new picture of the cinder blocks. A video of tire flipping on my profile page, and the avatar is the 80lb stone. I’ll put up some new pics soon.
Been pretty busy, Saturday’s squat session was short.

All the gym numbers look great. But what I’m most impressed with is the 120lb stone carries. Hugging a 120lb stone and walking for any distance with it is quite a workout.

Tough on the lower back, that’s for sure!
Today
Had intended on GMs and heavy rack pulls, but the power rack was occupied.

Thats the truth. I can do some numbers in the gym, but as far as being able to function normally - no way. The stone carries are a sign of functional strength. Awesome.

There it is! And you’ve still got more than a month out from comp don’t you?[/quote]
Thanks guys!
Actually Skid the meet I’m looking at right now isn’t until August. It’s a push pull meet in nearby Holland Michigan called Battle on the Beach. There’s been a couple I’ve passed on this year so far, but they’ve been kind of far. One in Chicago, and another in Lansing. I was thinking just this week, it’s time to begin training specifically for the meet, although I’ve been kind of hitting bench and deads hard the last few weeks. It seems to be paying off, that 265 bench this week is just shy of my previous PR before surgery three years ago now @ 275.
Good to hear the Alpha Male is working for you. All the yard toys will help you put it to great use. Your workouts are as solid as ever, keep up the drive!
Kind of a short workout this morning. Ground is still soft, but I got the tire out to flip the water and leaves out of it. 30 minute workout with the tire and cinder blocks. Had my daughter take a couple pictures I’ll post after they’re re sized.
