Thanks for the input fellas! Today was conditioning.
Ran a half mile to a big hill down the street, 5 wind sprints up the hill, which I’ll estimate at about 70 to 80 yards. Ran half way back home to the school and did 5 reps of agility drills, about 30 yards one way. Then jogged, walked, and sprinted back home. 40 minute workout.
Mushroom Head, and Flaw on the MP3. Would like to have gotten another 20lbs. on the deads, but 355 is just shy of 90% of my previous SRM. It’s coming around.
I picked up some new toys along the side of the highway last night. Gonna get outside and mess around this morning, but first, some benching.

That’s pretty pathetic…I’m gonna get outside now.
Several days of rain and above average temps.have melted all of the snow, so I’m gonna get out the tire and my new toys.
Alright alternated the tire and my new stone. 6 trips across the yard and back with each. Got out the scale and weighed the stones I picked up. The big one that I worked out with today weighs 120lbs. I got two more, one weighs 80, and the other 50. Outside workout was 45 minutes. It was pretty tough.
Took a couple days off to see a chiropractor to see if there was anything he could do about some of my pain issues. While he was enthusiastic about what he could do for me, I was less than impressed. The alignment of the neck and spine were nearly perfect after all of the abuse I’ve given myself over the years. The bills I racked up after just two visits aren’t worth what he might be able to do for me. So I’ll chalk that up as a learning experience, I guess. Barely worth missing a workout or two for.
Love the yard work outs. I’ve got some stones for throwing I use to workout for Highland games. Only allowed to “play” up in one far corner of my yard though. Wife isn’t real fond of my landscaping
Lol, hel, I’ve done a little landscaping of my own like that.
Another snowy day in Michigan today. I’m gonna get in a few sets indoors, then go out.

Going out to clear the driveway, and do some outside work.
Got the driveway cleared, but I couldn’t grip the large stone because of the snow, so I worked out with the 80lb. stone. If I recall, the bucket is around 70lbs.
Each set is one trip back and forth across the yard.
4 sets each with the stone and the one arm bucket farmers.
That is awesome! You inspired me.I’m going to get some big rocks and make some farmers too!I will get back to you brother.Have you checked the theworldsstrongestman.com site.I dig picking stuff up and using funtional strength.Keep it up. Jimmy T
No shit but you are an inspiration. Ever since I’ve started reading your thread I’ve refused to let a little bad weather keep me from throwing. Great stuff.
Thanks fellas, that means a lot to me coming from you guys. I enjoy doing things that others find too unpleasant, like working out in the snow and cold with heavy rocks. And besides, where I live, if your not willing to do that, you’ll be cooped up inside for 5 months out of the year. My next project is to get some chains and lash together two of my cinder blocks, jury rig some handles, and try to do some really heavy farmers. We’re supposed to have temps in the single digits this weekend, I may stay inside and watch football. No, I’ll get outside to do something.
Good Mornings

I’m gonna be sufferin’ from those later!
It might be worth mentioning, I don’t have a squat rack. I set the posts of my bench as high as they’ll go, duck under the bar, lift it up. Then step over the bench, and out into the middle of the livingroom and begin my movement. Then I have to walk it back to the bench and set it back onto the posts. That’s often the hardest part about doing anything with the bar on my shoulders.
Got up early today to get the fire stoked. I’m a cheap sumbitch, I don’t want the furnace coming on today. It’s 14 degrees outside today, and we got about 5 inches of fresh lake effect snow overnight. So, I need to get outside and clear the drive. First some inside work then outside for some of that old school shit.
