To really show how strong you are use a rubber mallet and a shot.

Yep, we’ve got a wedge, but I just flip the maul around and use the backside of the maul.

Next time a tornado comes threw here I’m calling you to help with the clean up.

DZ - I can appreciate your choice of GPP work…though a city boy at heart, I’ve cut a few trees in my day and my hands usually look worse than Barry’s after DLing! A bunch of tape and gloves later, they can’t bleed any more…not too bad until the water hits 'em for the first time…OUCH!!!

My dad made me chop logs once.

Once.

what was your logs split to beers drank ratio?

Some years a good portion of the firewood comes from storm damage. I prefer the easy to split Oaks though.

I know how that feels QT! I get blisters nearly every time out, and those big trunk sections are the hardest to split.

Those are for after the hard work is done. :-)Truthfully though, I’m a lightweight, not much drinking for me anymore.

Thanks guys! I appreciate your comments.I’ve been trying to hit the back really hard since last fall for several reasons. First, if I want a big bench and deadlift I gotta have a strong back, right? I’ve always felt my back was one of the things holding me back from that.

And I am sick of straining my lower back! Last year I think I strained my back 3 or 4 times. Since I’ve been concentrating on my back, no problems.

Hel320, next meet is in September, same federation,ADFPF, going to be held in Grand Rapids, about an hour closer to home than the last one. I’ll start training specifically for that sometime in late June or early July.

Way to keep it going DZ. Best thing is to never take that down time. Just ease off a bit but stay focused. You look like you know exactly where you’re headed and what you need to do to get there. Keep it strong, straight and to the point, I’m already looking forward to your next meet, but then I’m not doing the work.

I like the Spring pics Dave, but nuthin beats that avatar pic! They should use that as a 'Powerful Image"

Thanks Colin!
