So, I’m looking around on goduke.com to see if Cutclife is going to UT, and I see this photo of the Lady BlueDevils bench pressing. I’m not trying to hate, I’m asking a serious question: isn’t that form just asking for shoulder issues down the road?

Regardless of her form that is a chick bencing 205 with out a shirt or any tips on form.
Im impressed, well im impressed if she did a full rep and didnt just seizure under the bar like the skinny guys at my gym squat.

Actually, their hair looks pretty un-nappy. Smooth almost.

And it wasn’t funny. Not that it couldn’t have been, it just lacked any creativity or humor in the delivery.
Also racist.

I think she is actually lifting 165. 45lbX2, 10lbX2, 5lbX2, bar…still a pretty insane lift for a woman. Especially a college age woman that probably only has a year or two of real lifting experience.

It’s a Don Imus quote. Pretty sure that’s most peoples bench form, only the average probably has their grip out wider. I have no idea who that is or her physical stats but that’s a pretty solid bench for a female basketball player.

My sister in law could rep out 135 while weighing maybe 115-120, she was a pole vaulter and was good. She worked out with the dudes.
Looks to me like if she locks it out, she’ll be hitting the J-hooks. Seems like a recipe for trouble! However, props to a girl moving that weight. Although last week at my gym a college shot-putter girl was in there repping 205 like it was nothing. Super muscular legs too, with a pretty face. I couldn’t help thinking how hot she’d look if she got lean and revealed all that muscle!

I’m going with 185. I think you missed 2/10’s. either way pretty damn good. That is if her shoulders don’t dislocate!
Look at the smile on the spotter’s face.
To me this seems like a funny max out attempt?
Nothing like trying to evaluate one’s form based on a single photo.
We have no idea what she’s doing, or the context in which it’s being done.

arent your elbows not supposed to be flared regardless though?

I understand that extreme flaring probably isn’t the best idea, but extreme tucking might not be ideal for most either. Maybe this is comfortable for her. Maybe they’re goofing off for the camera. Maybe it’s fake plates, or maybe she’s doing a set of 100 and we should all feel like pussies. Who knows, and really who gives a shit. It’s a picture.
FUCK DOOK

I’m fully aware. Everything in my post remains the same.

I agree it’s good, but we can’t really know the strength potential of the female crowd, so few train seriously, especially on a lift like the bench.
