Exactly how much experience do you have with Clemson? Apparently, we suck pretty badly for being named the number 27 public institution in the nation this past year (which is an increase from number 30 the previous year). As for top 30 nationally being mediocre? Please, do you have your head screwed on straight. This isnt out of Division 1 A schools, this is out of ALL public universities in the US. Off of what are you making the assumption that Clemson embraces mediocrity? The rankings? Our football team? Oh yeah, we really sucked it up by having a winning season, finishing third in the conference, going to a bowl game, and having a quarterback break school records after only playing 5 games in high school and college. Youre entirely right, it was a total failure of a football season.

I just don’t see the point. It’s completely arbitrary. Use a national ranking system. If you insist on using just conference standings, then you have to take into account where that conference stands in relation to all the others. Now you gotta decide if you’re gonna just go with DI, blah blah.
