Drinking Pasteurized Egg Whites

Rather than take the time to cook 8 eggs-worth of pasteurized egg whites, and then eat them and burning my mouth, I slam down a glass of egg whites straight from the carton, frat boy style. Then I take a few bites of oatmeal or whatever food I have on hand to get rid of the taste, and I’m good to go.

Is that unhealthy? I know that pasteurized eggs are ok to eat/drink raw, but I’ve only heard of it being added in small amounts to protein shakes. I’ m basically drinking 8 oz (~35g protein) of egg whites, and I’m just curious as to whether or not if a quantity that high is dangerous/unhealthy/blah blah. If not, it’s easy as hell and I’ll probably keep doing it.

Pasteurization technically should eliminate or reduce bacteria that make eating raw eggs ‘risky’ so it shouldn’t be dangerous.
