9/22 have not been posting
Entered a bench press comp at local festival a couple weeks ago and put up 3/3 320 335 345 or some combination finishing at 345

Tonight put up a new snatch PR 114 kilo. Weight somewhere around 110.5-111.5. (~244-245). Even broke 242 on Sunday after a good sweat. Glad to see weight falling and strength at least maintaining.

Disappoint in lifts that day. Really want 115/140 for 255. A 12 kilo shortfall was rough.

PR total in clean and jerk

A guy at the gym recorded this lift without my knowledge. Not that it would have changed the outcome, but I thought it turned out cool.

Worked up to a PR hang snatch of 105. Could have maybe done more.

Clean and jerk PR 143.

1/26 on work trip last week trained at average broz gym in Las Vegas. Nice people there. Only unfortunate aspects were $20 cab ride each way which made for a $60 workout which could have been better. 110/125.

Snatch PR today @ 122 followed by 5-6 singles at 110

I always lift better after a few days out of the gym. It seems work causes my deload periods, so I’m not missing training due to just not going.

Snatches today went very well. Testing for my openers in 13 days. Started at 115/120/124miss
Worked up in clean and jerk to 139. Made a sure lift, but took no other attempts. I have a cold and it sucked my winds right out of me. I am expecting 139 to be my opener, although I am going to need 146-147 depending on snatch to make qualifying total for American Open which is my goal.

Best part, body weight was 106.5k after workout. I am ahead of schedule on diet to 105 so I shouldnt have many effects from cut other than looking like a badass.

3/29. Meet day

Haven’t cut weight for 14 year. My how time has flown by. Came in too light and lost power. Took 3 attempts to squeak by a majority decision on a clean and jerk weight I haven’t missed in training all year.

There was nothing going on between my ears on first snatch. A combination of diet, nerves, exhaustion (my team hosted the meet so I was on duty at 6:30 am and lifted at 6:30pm).

I was shooting for American open qualifying total of 261. Tying my gym PRs would have done that, instead I came up 17 kilos short.

On the bright side, vs last year, I added 55pounds to my total and lost 17 pounds body weight.

In disappointment of my meet, I had an aggressive squat workout the following day. Spent the whole week following with lower back pain. Snatched no more than 100 and Cleaned no more than 115.

This lead me to realize… I needed help.

I have hired a well known online diet and strength coach and today is day 1 of training.

Followed this in workout with block snatches up to 110k. Squats up to 170 single

Have not posted in a while so I will toss up a couple lifts from a recent workout.

This day was 115/138 on 9/8. Weighing about 110k. Went on vacation and got a little fat. Oops. Starting to get tuned back up.

140k lift. This was my second workout of the day on 9/10. First at 10am and then this one at 1:30 since I was bored and had some buddies training.

A few lifts from training the other day. Felt strong with a triple at 101 snatch so I new I wanted to test my strength. Ended up hitting 124.

Cleaned 141 with relative ease and took two attempts at 146. 143 would have been smarter.

Was able to hit another PR total but in quite a difference in balance.

Squatted heavy on Sunday, I was surprised to have more legs than on Thursday. Probably helped that I cleaned before snatch.

Either way 116/150 (training make on the 150 jerk, have jerked 165-170 often with better technique)

No misses in cleans. Probably could have scraped another kilo from snatch. Made 116 nicely, missed 120 twice–once badly, second attempt was better.

Recovering from a groin sprain (sprinting) but lifts were decent. Snatch is competitive, clean is soft.

All makes up to 120 - took 3 progressively worse attempts at 125.

Cleaned up to 143. Jumped to 149 for an ugly miss. Racked it, no gain out of the hole.

Front squats to 150 and then some garbage lifting.

You getting some nice height on the clean Drew. 150kg was nice . I hope to make that some day.
