Trying to use what amount of smolov volume and progression to squatting while still incorporating OLY and PL training. Not real sure how much success I will have bastardizing the program.
Front squat 360 base. Probably a little higher than that rested, belted, and primed. But I won’t be any of those, so it’s probably a fair estimate.

Had to make a make shift wrist wrap with one of my dead lifting straps and a attachment from the cable machine. Helped quite a bit but not perfect. My snatch work is really pounding my shoulders, I’m not sure exactly which exercise tweaked the wrist, but I’m not in position to get it healed.

A little disappointed today. I guess I’m a little unsure of my smolov approach. Today was listed as 2x2 l 305 (front squat).
I thought this seemed too simple so I was going to skip to the next week which would have been 250 for 4 sets of 9.
When I worked up to 245, I stopped at 6. Wasn’t loose enough yet, and a little unsure of 4 x 9

Wrist wrap from rogue really helped with that issue. Shoulders still grinding it out. Intrasquad meet Sunday, going to start a fish oil-NSAID cocktail tomorrow and load up on the flex starting on the weekend.

Have not been posting workouts because I am in full OLY mode for meet this weekend. Shoulders still hurting like shit. Snatch up to 95k (209) clean up to 127 c&j. Last Friday hit a 285 clean… So that was nice.
4/14 normal workout today. Well, kinda. Just one lift, a lot of times. I think I have yet to tap into my potential on leg strength. I should be focusing on oly technique for workout this morning, but shoulders still throbbing. Seeing the doc for cortisone shots tomorrow. Kinda looking forward to getting back to the basic power lifts as soon as comp is over.

As I have been prepping for olympic meet, have had to rest shoulders and pretty much drop all pressing. So today’s workout was a haphazard workout trying to find an open station that didn’t hurt too bad

Some numbness in shoulders on those. Getting used to grabbing chalked up bars, the greasy one at the gym left me uneasy.
