DAN C: I have a Fujifilm FinePix S602z, has 6x optical zoom, and tons more settings than I know what to do with. I’ve had it a year and am still learning it’s tricks. I did a consumer reports analysis as well as going to 4 independent shops and getting “shpeiled” on their favorite cameras. Ended getting the Fuji because it had the best zoom:cost:rapidity of shots ratio. I couldn’t stand the cameras that you’d push the button to take the pic and 3 seconds later, it’d shoot. This one is pretty much instant. Also has movie/voice capability but I’m not that advanced yet. Besides, I have a camcorder if I want to make home movies, anyway.
