Dr. Darden, High Volume, Full Body?

Good Afternoon Dr. Darden,

I am curious how you would program a high volume training before you switched to high intensity training with Arthur Jones. Secondly, was it a full body routine?

Generally, back in those days, I did a split routine (upper body and lower body), with three sets of the basic 8 to 10 exercises for 8 to 12 reps. Each workout took an hour.

I would then do two upper-body and two lower-body workouts per week.

My current routine is a 4 day Upper-Lower routine with 6 exercises. Takes me about 1.5 hours. I might need to decrease my rest time.
