Years later, and some can look back and laugh on that “aggressive” phase of their life and just chalk it up to the college years etc. Which isn’t to say they’ve become passive, docile pushovers since then; they’re just more mature, wiser, comfortable-in-their-own-skin now.

I don’t have any experience with dominant women but I intuitively think it would be the opposite of what you just described. I think women would more likely develop a liking for being in charge as they get older. I think women are naturally submissive so the default in the early years of their sex life would be submissiveness. As they get more experienced they have time to develop fetishes and for some of those women the fetish would be to develop a liking for being in charge.
For the record, if I ever met a girl who wanted to be in charge sexually or if my wife decided she wanted that, I’d have no problem with it. I’d draw the line at anything getting stuck in me though.
