1st day back after a 2 week layoff and 3 days of being sick. I have eaten little or nothing each day since Tuesday morning and my weight is down almost 10 lbs. Not the recommended way to lose weight. Had to start doing something so I kept it light and short.
Stationary bike 5 min
20 BW squats
20 OH broom stick squats
Dead lifts
A1 Conv 135x5, 225x3, 275x3
A2 Sumo 135x5, 225x3, 275x3
Band assisted NGHR 4,4
Pull ups 4,4
Pathetic! My legs started shaking on the 275 lb deads so I shut those down, hamstrings started cramping on the NGHRs and the pull ups just sucked.
Too late into August for me to be sure of travel since I’ll still have one on High School. I would like to go but that call will have to be made early summer next year.
Been eating a lot more these past two days and this session felt pretty good. The objective was to do sets of 3 MPs bumping up by 10# each time until I couldn’t get 3. The 125 is a PR only because I haven’t every tried 125 before this and 135 matched my November PR. 10#s on the Front/side/rear raise superset didn’t feel like much at first but by the last reps on the last set they did. Trying the DB hammer curlz again hoping that doing them hammer style will keep that bicep tendon happy. Once again, by the last reps I was struggling, especially on the left side.

Stationary bike 5 min
Squats barx10, 95x5, 135x5
Working Triples 185x3, 205x3, 225x3, 245x3, 265x3, 285x2 (oops)
Power curtsies 365x3, 405x3 about 4 inch ROM
Walkout 425 about 8 seconds and I was wavering and swaying
GMs 185x5x3
Three reps at 285 would have matched my PR from the fall but the second rep twisted and came up unevenly so I stopped. Better luck next time. Power curtsies were an experiment in unlocking my knees with max weight and they felt better than I expected. By then I was fried and walking out and trying to hold 425 was interesting to say the least.

You posting in the MP thread is less laughable than me posting here.[/quote]
I beg to differ on this - posting your post-surgery rehab is of great value to all of us in that it gives us insight into what it takes to come back from something as severe as the injury you had. On the other hand, my MPs suck because I sat on my ass for the majority of my life and the only redeeming thing about them is that I’m doing something to improve them now.
