Dog Fighting = Good Workout

I’ve yet to see a dog drink too many beers, climb into a car and run down an innocent civilian.

…I’ve yet to see a dog, write a statement on the internet about how it hates society and then go to the pound and gun down all the other dogs and vets that are there

…I’ve yet to see a dog perpetuate hate crimes on the basis on race, gender or creed (although, with some of the fancy haircuts show-poodles get, I could possibly understand it)

…I’ve yet to see a dog be held repsonsible for network programming

My dog gets drunk and beats me.

Reminds of somehting funny that happened at a high school party. Only it involved a drunk girl, suprisingly one of the hot ones, a dog, and the words beat off not beat.

Ok back to the subject. I love my dog, I love my daughter. My daughter watches me train and emmualtes what I do. So if I were to allow here to train and enter a kickboxing, or muay thai fight as she gets older. And cared for here after the fights would you say I am cruel or irresponsible.

Now lets say I was some rich ghetto thug football player and went and bought children from a third world country starved them and beat them, then threw them into a pit and forced them to fight to the death. While people were around betting and snorting coc. That would be cruel and inhumane.

Our dogs are part of our family. And we care for them as such. I have a presa also. the presa is the guard dog.

Do we see a difference. I love that my uncles introduced me to the proud heritage of these dogs and that they were breed for this purpose. A modern day animal kingdom gladiator.

Pits are awesome dogs and the way they were breed by people who loved their game attributes and wanted to keep them made it possible to have animals that can take any punishment a little child can dish out and just wag their tale and love every second of attention that child is giving them.

As far as the vagrant mentioned in the first part of this thread he should have steak strapped to his groin and thown into a cage with his dogs.

Pit Bulls are not so tough – or smart:

There are over 300,000,000 people in this overpopulated nation, and probably over a dozen people die every year from having sex with horses.

That’s just what you get with so many people: a initially scary looking, but ultimately meaningless death statistic that somehow convinces politicians to take away freedoms. Quality of life > Quantity of life. Dog fights are traditional and fun to watch.

First of all, stupid personal attacks contribute nothing to this site. Second of all, read the first page: dog fighting has been a part of many great civilizations with ancient traditions. Awesome breeds like pit bulls would not exist without the crucible of dog fights. There would simply be wolves, poodles, and nothing in between.

Human deaths to dogs are absolutely negligible, and many of them can be attributed to human stupidity, potentially making a “net gain”, genetically speaking. Countless families enjoy the company of those “dangerous” breeds.

People who pervertedly treat animals like people treat them worse. Some dogs are simply born to fight.

My comment stated what I thought about you and your opinion of dog fighting.

Whether or not dogs would or will fight doesn’t mean we throw them in a pit where they WILL fight. Or train them with “bait dogs” or “bait animals.” Sometimes these bait animals are hung upside down ALIVE for these dogs to attack.

That doesn’t happen in nature.

Now go find that train.

Dude…your dog deserves his own “rate my shoulders” thread.

Of course dogs require some training, being a creature of some intelligence (and therefore limited instinct). Pit fights wouldn’t be as entertaining if the dogs were out of shape.

Besides, if you’re going to slaughter an animal for meat anyway, why not let a dog have a little fun with it?

Neither do 45 lb plates. It’s definitely possible to improve on nature. Fighting dogs are so much more damn fun than wolves, and can even partially fill the predator role wolves play.

If that cavalier attitude was supposed to come off as cocky and cool it just makes you seem even more of an asshole and a waste of skin. You are the load your mama should have swallowed.

Guess we are just aren’t going to see eye-to-eye on this one.

C’mon, gang, as a society we’ve moved on from dog fights. Pax Americana entertains its citizens via unchecked brutality toward People. Have you SEEN a linebacker after a pro game? Ridiculous.

Are you serious? You carry a loaded handgun while jogging? Like, tucked into your athletic shorts?
