Does Weight Lifting Make You Better Looking??

Girls have been chasing after me since I was in elementary school, so I wouldn’t know if lifting’s made my face more attractive or not. The one thing I have noticed and perhaps this is just maturation, but my face does seem to have a “tougher” look to it.

Um what is your “girlfriend” trying to tell you and is it time to dump her?
Was that some lame cheap shot at my attractiveness? I’m having a hard time trying to interpret what exactly you’re trying to say here. Clear it up for me.
I don’t know anything about your attractiveness. Did she mean people in general can’t change ugly with muscles or was she saying you are ugly?
It’s ok, you’re not the only one that caught that seeming insinuation.

I’ve heard when you lift heavy over time your facial structure changes from all the scrunching, any truth to this?
When you’re squatting heavy, and your spotter slaps your ass as you’re coming out of the hole, your face freezes like that forever. True.

Bullshit. Your face has a serial killer/evil scientist look to it.

You have that “should be cast as a villain in a Michael Bay flick” look to you.

Bitches like the bad boys, you know this X.

If you lift long enough, you’ll get really ridiculously good looking.

Of course it does. It doesn’t actually change your facial features (other than the fat loss “chiseling” up your features - cheekbones, cleft in chin (if you have one) etc… but it certainly makes the overall package more attractive.

I mean, take any average couch-potato guy and get him bricked and lean and of course he’s going to be more attractive…

Lifting actually does make you look better, IMO. This is my personal theory: woman find a strong jawline attractive, as it is a sign of masculinity right? And, in fact, a jutting jaw is a sign of high testosterone in males. Now, considering the fact that lifting weights does increase testosterone levels, I feel that it does eventually lead to more masculine features, such as that large jaw. For me anyways lol. Now, I’m speaking from personal experience, and since I’m still relatively young, maybe that’s just my body maturing.

But, I have noticed that the guys at my gym who have some decent size on them (not the bench and curl crowd) do seem to have more masculine features, such as broad shoulders and larger jawlines than the pussies that don’t. And I think this is what leads to that more attractive “overall” package for females, as well as the self-esteem boost like angry chicken said. Well that was my my .02 lol.
Causation vs Correlation.

I would assume it to be much more likely that men with better genetics and hormonal levels have more masculine features as well as better builds. The builds as well as the facial features would both be caused, or influenced by, hormones and genetics. I’m pretty sure that unless you are severely malnourished as a child or take large doses of HGH at some point your facial features are set from the moment conceived.
Basketball makes you grow taller.

And from the looks of the guys at my club, then no, lifting does not make you better looking.

I think it does change your facial features not your bone structure but the muscle on your face. I notice that after a workout my jaw n temple muscles are pumped I chew gum like a mad man and clench my jaw on my max sets. I think a bigger jaw looks cool but big temple muscles look stupid so im trying to cut down on the gum i have noticed a definate change in the muscularity of my face and i think it does make you look better but you wouldnt want to end up with a big square head at the same tine. I was actually thinking of inventing something you chew on that isolates your jaw muscles and gives you that chiseled jaw look lol.

This is erroneous! I workout my face all the time, and I keep getting uglier.

I think that one is the key.

So then why are there so many fucking ugly people on this site?

What I quoted was a direct response to the OP’s post. I laughed at it, she said “what?” I read the post to her, and what I quoted was her response.

Heh. So, she was saying people in general.

Becoming really rich seems to make you better looking as well so consider that as an option if you cant get bigger

Fred G. Sanford (Redd Foxx) said it best:

“Esther, you fat and ugly! You can get rid of fat, but you can’t get rid of ugly!”
