I’ve been working out for 15 years! i’ve been out of the gym for about 6 months for the first time in my life. I’ve lost 42lb as a result! I know that is alot and not normal but thats just me, i have bad genetics! I lose A LOT of weight if i stop working out even briefly.
I also gain fat easily. That’s why i had a testosterone and estrogen blood test done resently because i figured it was due to low test levels. The result was 387 total test and 13.7 E2.
I’ve heard it is low but you guys can chime in as to how bad it is.
In any case, i’m considering TRT to get my test up to 800 and keep it there. Now what i would like to know is if that will get me to…
a) not lose LMB if i lay off the gym in the future and not gain so much fat?
b) gain (weight) LMB + lose fat even if i dont start working?
Proper eating training and rest causes lean muscle gains.
Testosterone is just an aid, but it takes hard work along with proper hormonal and lifestyles.
I have been on Test Cyp for a year now and have lost 20 lbs and gained upper body muscle without changing a thing. I don’t work out but I am very active.

You’re not getting that 42 lbs back without weight lifting regardless of test levels. You may get some lean mass back…but not that much.

This. Test will help you gain muscle, but only if you give the muscles stimulus to grow. Guys that say they gained lean mass on TRT without any lifestyle changes are probably working more than they give themselves credit for.
