Does it Really Kick In that Quick?

So I have been seeing a nutritionist to lose fat and gain muscle.
I have been on TRT for over a month now (5-6 weeks), and the last 2 weeks I have put on 5-6lbs.

the nutritionist decided not to take measurements at the beginning, because I had a long way to go. Which looking back is kinda silly

So it it possible that I have gained muscle?
Holding water?

Or am I dreaming?

Your estradiol [E2] levels are really an important factor in what is happening. Note how your belt and pants fit. Some can loose fat and gain muscle with no change of weight.

I experienced similar results. I have gained almost 15 lbs since June, all while sporting the same/smaller waist size. I’m doing TRT for improved health (mental/physical/sexual). I see muscle gain as a nice “side effect”, but never the ultimate goal.

Thanks everyone,
bushidobadboy: When I was first given a low T result and wasn’t helped by my countries health care system, I did a lot of research. The information packs and sites I had found all suggested that 3 months was the time a patient would see physical changes. I am guessing this is for non weight training men though.

TheDudeAbides: Thats great! Strength and Muscle mass is a nice side effect to have! Mental and physical health is number 1 and 2 for me…but I can help but be a bit excited!

I had been on TRT for about 4 months before I started lifting again and I hadn’t lifted in about 10 years, I was 21. At the time my max was a miserable 220lbs and the first day I stepped into the gym after TRT I repped 230 twice and I hadn’t touched a weight in 10 years. Unfortunately I also put a tear in a tendon that connects from my Pectoral to my arm, but it was cool for the moment.
