I snagged another one a few weeks ago. They had them for $899.

Shadows are amazing and worth the price tag for sure, but if you buy a standard CZ and Cajunize it you’ll be shooting just as good of a gun. Total cost winds up about the same but if you don’t want to send it in for an overhaul all at once, you can piecemeal upgrades at home.
The shadow is smooth, but it’s honestly not that much better than other full size CZ’s. CZ in general is a highly underrated brand, and a bargain. It’s not like you’re starting with a pos even if it isn’t comp tuned out of the box.

That’s good to hear. I scored a P09 at a good price, haven’t had a chance to shoot it yet, but plan on Cajunizing it and slapping a dot on it, eventually.
Great gun. The $230 pro upgrade kit on the Cajun website will make it shoot like a $1,500 gun. Depending on your use, a relatively inexpensive fiber optic can be the tits too.
I have been dry firing it, a lot. The trigger smoothed out quite a bit. The two things I would want to do is eliminate the over travel, and make it a little crisper in single action.
I had the chance to put 400 rounds through this pistol yesterday. If you are wanting a EDC without taking out a bank loan, this is worth investigating. A no frills defensive pistol. Is it a custom piece? no, but it will get the job done and that is all that really matters.
