There are definitely bid bots at work there. I have scored some fantastic deals there on guns and ammo, but I would recommend bidding conservatively.
Got it, thanks guys. Definitely makes the experience I had last night make much more sense.
A āTommy Gunā in .22 L.R.? For a price under 700? Smells like too much fun.
Todayās Tommy: The Standard Manufacturing G4S .22 LR Tactical Plinker
If I ever bought a machine gun, it would be an American180. As it is chambered in .22 LR I would actually be able to afford to shoot it.
What braces?
I sold the only one I had 5 years ago. It sucked as a brace and it sucked as a stock. I wasnāt crazy about the CZ scorpion it was on either.
But, looks like the braces are now worthless. Going to be a lot of bag holders. Seems as if all of the AR & AK pistols that are being sold with or without braces will have to be converted to SBRs, and may not qualify for the amnesty. A lot of small shops will have inventory they canāt move.
ATF celebrated felony Friday pretty hard.
Guessing there will be a series of lawsuits in an attempt to get the ruling thrown out. Who knows how successful thatāll be.
Waitā¦are those banned now? I MAY know someone who has one.
Not banned but any gun with one is now a SBR under the NFA according to the ATF.
So if the Micro Conversion Kit is just sitting empty by the bed, itās fine until the pistol is inserted?
Technically no.
To have the items intended to make a sbr with intent to do so, youād need to have filed for the stamp and keep them apart until the stamp arrives or leave it all at a FFL. That is the 100% legal answer.
Now, that isnāt practical and there is no way theyād know you have it soā¦.
I probably wonāt be able to afford one, but I eagerly look forward to @Bauber adding one to his collection and flexing on us poors!
I will be buying one.
I didnāt have time today to deal with Cabelaās crowd and staff, but I think Iām going back tomorrow to get an idea of the condition of a Beretta Cheetah they have in the used section. Itās priced pretty well compared to whatās available online, hoping itās in decent enough shape to just take it home.
Lots of fun stuff released at the Shot Show this year, including a Henry semi-auto 9mm rifle that uses Glock mags. Think Iāll skip it, but pretty neat.

Popped in today and pulled this thing apart right in the show room haha. Pretty dirty, but overall it was in decent condition. Going to clean it up tomorrow afternoon. Very small spots of rust on the slide but nothing deep set yet.
