Dodgin’ Dadbods: Fortitude Training

Very true mate very true

Yeah, I just check the training logs of the fairly limited number of people I ever converse with. I prefer to do my insulting and bragging with people who already know I am full of shit. I don’t even have a clue about most of these other posts and forums you guys are talking about.

Although the kid who was bothered by his extremely loud roommates having sex (it was his mom) was pretty fun.

Didn’t expect that plot twist for sure!

I’m barely hanging on. Have fallen back to barely posting my workouts, often late.

Love the people, but hate the function. Just can’t deal anymore.

@flappinit get that volume!

Deep Water Beginner: Week 3, Day 3

Went for Deep Water.
OHP
Worked up to an overwarmup 1x185 and then dove in with 135, 10 lbs over my 10x10 weight - hit 20 reps and am very happy with that. Waited 3 minutes and hit another failure set with 125, and got 14.

Oh, and the last rep of the 135 was like a 10 second grinder and my spinal erectors kind of seized up but I stuck with it.

Lateral Raises
3x10

BB Curls
95 5x10

Feeling strong. Also feel like those 2 failure sets, though they were less of a mindfuck to get through, did more damage to me than 10x10. I was just smoked afterwards.

This has absolutely become my favorite log here. It’s been amazing watching your near daily transformation.

That genuinely means a lot. Thanks, dude.

I used to be concerned with this, but I’m actually not really counting right now. Maybe I should be, but I’m using them for more hypertrophic purposes than numbers - explosive concentric, slow eccentric and repeat, no breaks or hanging during the set, just slow, tough reps until my chin can’t clear the bar. I used to do sets of 12-15, I’d be surprised if my sets are more than 10.

What the fuck?

Your strength has seriously blown up over the last few months. Kudos, my dude.

135 for 20? Good grief. I once hit 11 around the time I did the Mantathlon but it was a one time achievement.

I see Flame Free is back in Off Topic. RIP.

I am doing my best to introduce training and nutrition confessions. If we can’t keep it in the right section, we can keep it on the right topic.

I’ve grown tired of the one line per person conversations that keep occurring about non training stuff.

Like this one of we continue.

Make stuff man! I am doing my best, haha. I have more lined up, but I only get the off topic folks commenting.

That’s based on its content. It’s been there since it started in January, after Flame Free 2 got filled up/locked.

The second one was already shifting in its ratio of training-to-off-topic randomness and I had mentioned there a few times that the thread had gotten away from the original intention (training/nutrition confessions) and was veering into full-blown Off-Topic territory, which it ended up doing towards the end. When Part 3 started in Off-Topic, the training/nutrition aspect was already minimized.

It’s kinda like, sometimes people start a new thread about fat loss in the Bodybuilding forum, but it’s not about bodybuilding, so it gets moved into BSL, or they’ll start a thread about bloodwork in T Replacement, but they’re running a cycle so it’s moved to Pharma.

Sorry to interrupt/lurk/pop in. Nice pressing, Flap.

We were trying to force it back to training confessions. The demographic of the posters changed a bit when it moved. It was teetering on Off Topic, but once it was moved it fell off the edge. I fear it’s gone now…
