My bad for the pants slipping down, not a pants-sagger, usually wear a belt with those, but they’re super comfortable and it’s my backyard so fuck it. This was still without correcting the one inch slope, just light weight so didn’t realize.
By the way, it may look like I’m trying to deadlift onto those visible pieces of wood - I’m just using those as side buffers, I’m deadlifting onto the pieces of wood underneath the washrags.
I both agree with what you are saying, and yet on some level I am also in that boat where I am lamenting the fact that I have no free weights to work with. I can get a lot done with bodyweight stuff, but not everything I would like to get done…and hell, I just miss it. Despite all the wacky shit I do, I am a purist at heart. Just want to bench, squat, dead and OHP.
First world problems, though. If your biggest issue at a time like this is unavailabilty of home gym equipment, then life is pretty okay.
And, this damn log. Every time I pop in here, I get the sudden urge to eat beef/egg tacos, run a mile, do a 100 burpees or tear down my fence and see if I can fashion a squat rack out of it.
Oh, don’t get me wrong, I would be happy if I had a home setup and could train normally. I just don’t really care that I don’t because all it means is the progress I was going to make in the next three months, I will make later.
This is a totally ludacris log Flap, I’m away for what 9 hours and there are 20 post or thereabouts and you’ve turned 30
Happy Birthday by the way, crab a Whiskey and salute for yourself.
I love that picture Flap, you look like a strong MF, not from lifting weights but from real manual work.
Btw ate 6 eggs yesterday courtesy of this log.
Because, while I know instinctively that Burpees absolutely suck…I don’t believe I have ever done one. I mean, maybe I will like them. Maybe I will be good at them. Maybe they are FUN.
Yeah I did a little double-take when you said 30, since that makes you (barely) younger than me which is weird. Though in fairness you posted a picture below that post and it’s not like you look super-old or anything.
I’ve decided that you look like an old timey strongman in that photo. Pants, black tank top, feet together, huge guns on the double biceps pose. I imagine there’s very large beer mug or stein just out of frame and you’re about to circus dumbbell that barbell.
No conditioning today. Just a couple mile walk with the family and then a couple mile jog with Alfie.
Pictured: egg/rice/bean/cheese tacos, and ate 1 lb of Korean ground turkey with rice and sriracha a few hours after. I’m now getting hyped for the second half of the program where I can adjust TMs and hammer the lifts - I think the second half will feature lifting being the hard part instead of the nutrition, because this feels routine now.
Nice pulls flap. The set up definitely works, and in times like these, it’s waaay better than nothing lol. How are you protecting the stuff from rust though?
