Dodgin’ Dadbods: Fortitude Training

I’ve enjoyed watching the transition from “let’s go cyborg mode and just get the food down” to “okay, let’s spice things up a bit”.

Dinner:
2 .5 lb patties and the other half patty, 1.25 lbs total, plus the last of the shakshouka (gonna miss saying that word). Nutrition is getting easier still. No longer dreading eating.

Also shoulder flexibility was great today- been moving my arms in on squats - hands were originally close to the collars and I got my pinky fingers on the barbell ring today without any tingling hands or pain, just the usual discomfort of being tight all over.

Someone at our New York branch died of COVID. Come home, wife has a sore throat, runny nose and a cough. Both kids, runny nose and cough. Lol.

Good knowing you.

Rather than pouring a beer on the ground when remembering you, we’ll just crack an egg over the sidewalk.

In all seriousness, hope the fam stays all right.

That damn virus is all over, I hope you’ll be good. Remember to stay away from elder people and the ones that are chronically sick.
Love all the food that’s going on in here.
BtM could certainly be my next wendler tryout I’ve looked at it a thousand times.

Could easily just be flu season man. Stay safe anyway.

Random Person at Supermarket: “Hey man, hoarding all that beef and eggs is SUPER uncool!”

Flappinit: “Back off, dude, this is just my lunch.”

Stay safe. Probably just the flu.

It seems that fever is the trigger symptom for panic. If I get the virus then I get paid Admin leave and keep my sick/vacation time. If I get something else then it’s on me.

Hope the family bounces back quick from their colds.

We’re all pretty healthy. I don’t know that it’s corona or that it’s not, and going to a doctors office would only expose us to it, since it just hit our county, so we’re just treating it like any other sickness and monitoring symptoms.

Had 6 eggs, just scrambled with hot sauce when I got home last night. Moving around for a couple hours now, still not quite hungry, but gearing up for my morning fried eggs.

Conditioning Day: At home with the minimal workout I have

5 minutes of man makers:
Holding a pair of 15 lb dumbbells, drop down into a pushup position, do a pushup, row left arm, do a pushup, row right arm, do a pushup, stand up into a half squat and do a thruster.

Definitely gassed me a bit.

Then:
5 ab wheel rollouts on knees, very slow
10 lateral raises with 15s
20 V ups
X5

Then:
Holding the 15s, squat down til DB’s are touching the floor, stand up and press them overhead in one motion. 100 reps. Finished pouring with sweat.

Good little conditioning session, only took 25 minutes or so even with stopping to take care of things for the boys. Shower time, then time to cook BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEF.

I’m sorry because I know I missed it, but what’s the eating goal?

1.5 lbs of beef and 12 whole eggs a day. I’m trying to secure a barbell and weights to be able to complete this program in case gyms shut down, which I see definitely happening within the 5 weeks I have remaining, but funds are a bit tight and weights are EXPENSIVE.
@T3hPwnisher any ideas for discount barbell and weights totaling mid-300s?

If you don’t care about the bar quality, Dick’s sporting goods has a 300 lbs. set for like $200.
You can also find stuff at places like play it again sports - plates tend to be $0.50 a pound.

I sold off my stuff maybe 3 weeks ago, and our gyms closed yesterday. I’ve got my timing down!
