Thanks for the lovely banter, guys. Had a good laugh reading through this. Still in NY until Saturday, when I’ll be back. Only did that one super easy workout this whole week. I haven’t gotten the sleep I want, since it’s just me watching the 2 boys the entire week, but not lifting has definitely given me a chance to recover. Currently weighing whether or not I want to push forward with 2 more months of Superhero muscle or switch to something else.

Back home in VA. Got sick yesterday, of course. Sent my wife on vacation with her sisters in the Caribbean while I took care of both boys by myself for the whole week, going to museums, playgrounds, everywhere and anywhere to occupy them, and got very little sleep. Wife is back, kids are settled in, gonna start working out tomorrow and likely be covered in snot by the end of it since I’m so stuffed up.

Tonight: sushi with enough wasabi to clear out my sinuses.

Also, @IronOne checked in on our favorite world record holding casual powerlifter and saw your SAVAGE post dude, had me rolling :joy:

His level of privacy just always struck me as odd. It’s a bunch of dudes lifting weight - no one is (probably) going to track him down.

I remember reading through his log and at one point he’d posted wedding pics but by the time I came across the log they’d been removed. Why?

The same reason someone would not be afraid to post form check videos when they were squatting 155 but would be ‘uncomfortable’ posting physique pictures when they’re squatting 500 for reps (and would delete the form check videos) - he progressed, but he was lying about how much and embellishing numbers. All the nice-guy, smokescreen bullshit meant to turn this around and make us look like assholes aside, it’s just a liar who got caught lying and couldn’t handle the heat.

Wonder if he’ll ever return.

I haven’t been around long enough to know his posting history/interactions with others on here, but I can never wrap my head around why someone would feel the need to create such a long and elaborate con regarding their lifting numbers over the internet. It such seems so… silly. Does the opinion of a bunch of strangers you’ve never met matter that much?

Honestly, I don’t get the idea of just flagrantly lying about stuff, but I hold a lot of people’s opinions here in high regard and have a lot of respect for them too, and take their criticism or praise seriously. Anyways, we’ve done this dance before here, so we’ll move on again, haha.

Snot rockets between sets for the win. We had an athlete at competition yesterday who’s coach had to keep wiping the landing mat because snot would shoot out of her nose every time she landed. So gross
