Dodge Ram Vs Hummer

I liked the old Toyota 4Runner, now they are too expensive for you to want to even think of putting anything that might scratch the paint on the truckbed. Apart from that, Toyota makes great stuff. Im not anti anything, I would buy an American car as much as I would a Japanese one. Since GM has been having their problems, many people say Toyota will take over the #1 spot in the amount of vehicles produced, getting ahead of GM. I think this is due to the Camry, which in my experience has been one of the most comfortable rides I have driven.

If you’re serious about which one, go with the Ram with the Hemi option. 345 horses under the hood of a black truck is just manly. Plus you’ll have more uses with the truck. So as I truck man myself, I say the Ram, all the way.
I agree, but if funds would allow I would sport a Unimog. This is the ultimate truck, which has absolutely no common sense reason for being on the road privately other than the look at me value.

Who gives a shit what I drive, I’m footing the bill, I bought it, i pay for gas, if i crash it or roll it, it’s my stupidity. If I want to spend my childrens inheritence on a gas guzzling 4 wheel drive lane hogging monster truck, that’s my right.

All BS aside, the Ram looks way cooler.

I agree. They have always been my favorite trucks.

They were mine too, until Nissan released the Titan.

Really? I don’t really like the look of it…the Rams are badass.

Plus, I will never buy a Japanese car or (especially) truck. Ever.

Yep. I like the Rams, but I know the Titan has a better resale value, will last longer, and outruns the Ram, unless it has the 345hp Hemi, or the big diesel. The Titan is a beast.
I think the Titan is pretty sharp, too. FYI, a friend of mine just bought an '05, and already had to get the brakes replaced. The dealer flat out said that the brakes were under-designed for that truck. Hopefully they fixed it for '06? Point is, the Titan is fairly new, and it’s not going to have the same reliability as other Nissans.

I have a Ram 2500 with the diesel. The fuel mileage is pretty decent - 16-17 mpg. Which Im sure is better than what the Hemi gets. Also holds its value a lot better than the Hemi truck. Anyway, I’m really happy with it - although, it does suffer from some of the minor “fit and finish” issues that a lot of domestic vehicles have.

And speaking of domestic, my “American” truck was actually assembled in Mexico. Is it possible to buy a vehicle that’s really 100% American made (including all parts)???

Of course you are right, I just questioned the attitude of people that stand behind basically-whatever as long as it is not too uncomfortable for them.

Americas energy consumtion is crazy though. What do you do with it? I mean if you had something to show for it, but you don?t.
We have something to show for it. America is the superpower of the world. Europe isn’t. I know, screw me because I’m an arrogant American. Blah blah blah. When it comes down to it, I’m damn proud to live in a country where I know there are people who put their ass on the line so that I can have freedom and live a better life.

Just my two cents.

What was this thread about anyways?

Unimogs are awsome. I’ve seen a few driving around where I live.
